When my kitchen was on the historic home tour this summer, visitors were so enthralled with the aquamarine steel kitchen, that that started to joke with the docent, “Where’s the flamingo wallpaper?”
Well, she had to pop open the basement bathroom, because there is was! I used a Waverly paper from their now-defunct Kitchen Kitsch collection. But I recently found these great papers from Thibaut. This company makes wonderful, high quality papers. Their flamingo wallpaper is less kitschy, but still great for a bathroom. Ditto, the hula girl wallpaper. There are several color fields including nice creams, blues – even aqua.
In my 50s bathrooms, the tile went up the wall exactly 47″ — see my tile posts — then wallpapering above this line. A nice mix of textures and patterns and an oh-so-cheerful way to start each and every day! Thibaut has a great and very user-friendly website – check it out.
oooh boy, I am not a fan of wallpapaer but I think I would go with the flamingos!!!
But I want a BLACK background with my flamingos!
I would like to buy flamingo wallpaper, where I can order? Thanks, Susanne
Is that Thibaut flamingo wallpaper or Kitchen Kitsch? Any idea where I can get it? Thanks!
Thibault. Try their website – I am not sure if it’s still carried.
Where can I find the hula girl wallpaper. .I was looking for it for years and just started looking again ..and found it on your site is the company flamingo? If you have any information please contact me. .
The story you are reading is nine years old, so I don’t know if the wallpaper is still available. The company is Thibaut — you can go online to their site to see if it’s still available.
The Flamingo Bay wallpaper is discontinued, but there are still limited colours left. I have two rolls of the white colourway stashed for our upcoming toilet renovation.
