Hi Pam, I like your page because I’m trying to install a metal band around the edge of my formica countertops. I want to just hot glue a strip of metal, but you’d be amazed how impossible that is to find. I can find rolls of aluminum, but if I cut them with snips, you can imagine the mess that would make. I, of course, don’t have a professional metal cutter. So, do I need to go to a fabricator and have him cut them? I like the look of the snap on edges, but my peninsula has chamfered edges. I “could” snip them and force bend them, but I suspect that wouldn’t turn out well. Suggestions?

Hi Lauren, I am not an expert on this question. We have a number of identified resources for metal edging: https://retrorenovation.com/2011/02/01/3-places-to-buy-metal-edging-for-kitchen-countertops/
