So many people looking for a yellow sink and i “inherited” one in my kitchen — along with Wilsonart daisy laminate… working on incorporating them. Yellow isn’t my favorite 😛

Marian — this is one of the top questions in my FAQ – https://retrorenovation.com/2011/12/30/the-3-most-common-questions-on-tile-on-plumbing-fixtures-on-steel-kitchen-cabinets/

I have a white version that I want to restore. Does the p3000 to the restore kits that can be purchased at Lowe’s or Home Depot?

On a side note…any thoughts on cleaning out the overflow? When I first moved in, it was completely blocked (guessing it’s mineral deposits formed over time). I’ve gotten it open by alternately pouring CLR, drain cleaner, and baking soda & vinegar down it, along with ramming a wire coat hanger down it in between treatments. However, it still has a lot of crud in there that I can’t seem to get rid of, and it looks pretty unsightly…

Susan aka Kitty Mommy, when I get a moment, I’ll ask John at deabath.com if he can answer this question about the overflow.

Yep…it’s American Standard. It’s also marked P3000 20×18 on the underside, if that helps…

Susan, I stand corrected! I know of only two companies today that make this style sink – Kohler and Crane. But of course, A-S would have made it back in the day!

Hmmm…I doubt my sink is Kohler, since the toilet and tub are American Standard…I’ll have to look to see if it’s marked somewhere…

I have wondered if it would be possible to purchase a Tahoe sink and hire a bathtub refinishing company to refinish it to match existing fixtures. Has anyone attempted to do this? If so, were you pleased with the results?

I am looking for a yellow sink for our 50s bathroom. Does anyone know where I can purchase one like this?

Ughhh…you can have our sink and tub…we bought a house built in 68 and have the original yellow sink and cast iron tub…my sink is the exact same color but oval.

This yellow sink is exactly what i am looking for to renovate my 50s yellow bathroom. Do you know where can I purchase one?

Libby, that’s a Tahoe sink by Kohler with metal ring. You may have trouble matching your existing yellow, though…If that’s crucial to you, we recommend frequenting your local Re-Store/Habitat for Humanity and craigslist. Good luck – and welcome to the blog.

Oooh, if you had a little vintage glass/plastic tumbler cup in the recessed spot on the left, that would be adorable! Maybe with the yellow and with an accent color (I’m partial to aqua with yellow!).
