have you looked at marmoleum… it was originally designed to be used in submarines, and there is some interesting colors and textures, and i think you could replicate this (sort of). it comes in tiles or roles. your choice.

We need the Armstrong 1955 green 50% and white 50% tile for the basement where a large repair was done to the pipes. How do we get them? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Armstrong still exists. Check their website. However, it may be super difficult to find exact matches. Also be aware: Old tile like this — along with other materials in your old house — may contain nastiness such as lead and asbestos etc. Get your own properly licensed professional to assess what you have so that you can make informed decisions…

Thanks! I checked the Armstrong website, but didn’t see anything about retro tiles. I’ll check again.

Hi Pam,
Got an email back from Armstrong saying they don’t have anything like that anymore. Do you know of anyone who has the vintage basement tiles?

see Kitchens/Flooring — there are several styles still available

I like these ideas for a basement, especially the tan and brown which sort of look a little like inlayed wood. Thanks!
