Merry Mamie (Eisenhower) Christmas 2011

pam kueber - Updated: November 5, 2020

Retro Renovation stopped publishing in 2021; these stories remain for historical information, as potential continued resources, and for archival purposes.

Merry Mamie Eisenhower ChristmasHappy happy, merry merry, everyone. I have a punch list about a mile long to get ready for Christmas, so I’m clocking out and will be back with more retro escapades on Dec. 26. Above: A precious Christmas card made by Hallmark for Mamie Eisenhower in 1960. All images in this post courtesy The Eisenhower National Historic Site.

    Ok, Pam!
I will sit here waiting with bated breath until you pop up again on my little computer dazling us with all things retro.
Merry Christmas and may all your bubble lights burn brightly.

A Very Merry Christmas to you and yours, Pam.

The first one below is side two of a Christmas album done by Fred Warning I read about following your link for Mamie and the second is 1950’s Christmas ‘stuff’.

I want to add my good wishes as well! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Everything to all!

It has been so nice spending cyber-time with so many people who share a love of the old and quirky!

PS — do any of you get Reminisce magazine? The parent company produced a book — which I bought — full of people’s stories and photos of Christmases past. Some truly hilarious pictures, mainly from the 40s through the 60s. Goofy trees, dorky haircuts, miserable kids with Santa…… super fun!

    Anyway, off to make cookies!

    Enjoy the season!

    Chris
