How to make a wreath using vintage Christmas tree ornaments — Suzy’s instructions
I bet we’ll get a lot of entries for this one — and there can only be one winner. So, the idea behind posting this giveaway right now is to remind you creative types to think ahead … make sure you’re collecting a whole bunch of vintage ornies … and gear up to make one of these yourself maybe. I know that in a lot of thrift stores across America, they start pulling out all the vintage ornaments for sale pretty soon. Or, maybe you’ve been collecting them all summer? That said, I know a lot of us *think* we’ll do a project… but never do… so keep an eye on Suzy’s blog because she keeps making wreaths all fall… she posts them for sale… and they sell out fast!

I love the vintage Christmas tree corsages like the one in this wreath. We had them on our tree in the 60’s. I recently found one at a flea market. I have it in my china cabinet so It can bring back happy Christmas memories all year long!

I have admired these wreaths since you first wrote about them. It would be fun to make one, but finding all those ornaments would take some effort! What a fun hobby for Suzy! I make English boxwoods wreaths using clippings from the bushes in my garden. Always plant the right things in your yard so you can craft green wreaths and centerpieces during the holidays! Kissing balls and small trees are fun to make too. Lots of tutorials on the net if you are so inclined.

When it was time to break up our childhood home I took all of the ornaments from my Mom’s tree and had them made wreaths for me and my Brother. Honestly, I look forward to hanging it each year as much as I do decorating the tree:)! Love this one!!!

Every year when I get out my Christmas decorations, I’m reminded again of what an absolute hoarder I am of vintage ornaments…this is a great way to make use of the ones that won’t fit on the tree! Just beautiful!
