It’s that time of year again — time again for a chance to win a vintage Christmas ornament by the one-and-only Georgia Peachez. You can enter daily to win — contest closes in one week, 10 a.m. Eastern on Dec. 9, 2019. Don’t you love this year’s wreath for our annual Retro Renovation giveaway (our 9th!)? I don’t think life gets any better than a knee-hugger elf clad in PLAID! And: That little Santa egg nog mug, oh my! Read on for how to enter:

How to enter to win this vintage ornament wreath made by GeorgiaPeachez:

  1. To enter, use the Comment field on this post below and tell us what is your favorite part of the holiday season. Or whatever, we’re easy.
  2. You can enter once per day now through Monday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. EASTERN, when entries close.
  3. U.S. lower 48 states only. (These limits are in place because shipping and customs get prohibitively expensive in particular considering the fragility of this product and how carefully it must be wrapped.)
  4. Repeat: Entries close on Monday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m. Eastern — that is, I will close the Comments field at that time.
  5. Prize: There will be one winner. The winner will receive the vintage ornament wreath pictured above, made by the GeorgiaPeachez, mailed to you by Georgia Peachez.
  6. Pam will choose the winners via the Random Number Generator at random.org.  I will email the winner. [Tip: Be sure you enter your email address correctly in the email field of the Comment form.] The winner will have five business days to respond. If I do not hear from them, I will choose the next person after who commented. Lather, rinse, repeat. I will post the winner’s first name as soon as all is confirmed. Note, I ‘clean up’ all the comments before choosing. That is, if someone A replies to another’s comment within the same day that someone A entered, I take out A’s comment.
  7. By participating you are agreeing to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Hi! I’ve been reading your newsletter for several years now and love getting ideas on mid-century design. so thank you! My favorite part of the season is enjoying holiday movies with hubby and our furbaby on a cold night. Also the holiday lights and all the tree ornaments we’ve collected through the years, each with it’s own story.
Thank you again and happy holidays!

Oh, there’s so much to love! The birth of Our Lord, to begin with, but then all the things that bring back, or make, memories. I love the sadly mottled silver ball with an indented side that used to be on our silver Christmas tree (we’d watch for that one as the tree rotated with the light shining on it in rotating colors). The strings of glass bells, the wooden and pewter ornaments (we lived in Germany for years). Christmas lights – the old ones, not the new ones with the colors that seem strangely dark.

And books! The Animals’ Merry Christmas, by Kathryn Jackson, illustrated by Richard Scarry. Tasha Tudor’s Becky’s Christmas. Too many more to list!

My favorite thing about Christmas is watching Charlie Browns Christmas, and the Grinch!

Favorite part of the holidays — baking. Reminds me of my grandmother and I enjoy gifting all the baked goods.

Of course I love really getting into my boxes full of vintage Christmas décor-the bottle brush trees, the deer, the Napco figures… But I also love the Advent season at church. It’s a very special time of year!

One of my favorites things is opening the boxes of decorations. It’s like meeting good friends I haven’t seen in a year.
