The walls in my kitchen are white and textured (it’s an apartment, and we can’t paint), the cabinets are a light wood with a “whitewash that needs re-washing” finish, and the laminate is an odd speckled grey. The floor is painted concrete – painted in black, red, gold, and green.

Aw, my kitchen is beige on beige, with some harvest gold floor. I wish it were more like my yellow and green bathroom!

Piney green, soft aqua/sky blue, brown and cream, with lots of bright primary color accents. Cream walls with brown painted trim as a backdrop. Our cabinets, when they are redone, will be a medium piney-sagey green, and our curtains are a soft aqua/sky blue and the same green, with brown accents. We will have open shelving, painted the same blue, and then we have an collection of Emalox , Fiestaware (newish), refrigerator glass and swanky swags that are all bright colors. Plus, we have a chrome table and chair set– my in-law’s anniversary present from 1952— that my mother-in-law and I reappolstered in burgandy.

Bright sun-shiny yellow. Just like my mom’s kitchen when I was little. Yellow gingham curtains, yellow walls, yellow kitchen aid mixer.

tan with splashes of red &deep burgundy against cherry cabinets &stainless /black appliances. however, the retro kitchen of my dreams (&hopefully soon, a reality) is sunny yellow &white, with grey, olive green, &orange accents. a big chill fridge is a MUST! 😉

My cabinets are a nice shiny lacquered white and we have fantastic orange wallpaper. We’re just finishing up a renovation of our 1958 ranch, where the previous owner had pretty much taken out all the original charm. Hoping to bring the mid century back to our place!

My kitchen is a blank palate of butter yellow and Oak. It’s in my 1962 split-level and the previous owners gave it a bland 1990’s makover that makes vanilla ice-cream seem exotic. It’s the room highest on my list for a retro renovation! Just found a great appliance company to help bring my dream to life! My kitchen has lovely light-stained cherry cabinets, a grey faux-tile floor, and green walls somewhere between sage and avocado. My house is midcentury and otherwise relatively unaltered, however the kitchen redo involves granite and stainless … not sure how much I like or dislike that aspect, but I am not at all happy with the tiles. Definitely looking for ways to bring the midcentury back in the kitchen, building on the avocado and lots of accents and accessories … maybe one day replacing the floor!!!
