Vintage apron for Berry

pam kueber - Updated: December 1, 2009

Retro Renovation stopped publishing in 2021; these stories remain for historical information, as potential continued resources, and for archival purposes.

vintage-apron-for-berryBerry contributed the 1,000th photo to our Save The Pink Bathrooms flickr pool. As a token of appreciation, this vintage apron – never used – is on its way to her. I bought this apron at the amazing Adams time capsule house. The fabric is a polished chintz – really nice – and I love the little terry cloth towel detail, which I have never seen before. Thank you, Berry, I hope you put it to good use. 🙂

I’ve never commented here before and I know this is an old post from November that no one seems to be reading at the moment, but this apron pushed me over the edge. My mother had one of these when I was growing up in the 70’s. Hers was in the same pattern, only a gold colorway, so maybe these were not all handmade? I enjoy the site very much and check it out a few times a week with great pleasure.

Welcome, Veronica! Yes, these aprons are super sweet – so glad it brought back memories for you! 🙂

I love my vintage apron with its sewn-in terry towel (mine’s pink, too!). It really is the handiest thing…..when it finally wears out, I’ll have to make another.

Thank you so much Pam! I’m enamored with it!
