Update: Congrats to winner Danielle! I went thru the entries, pruned duplicates, spun the random.org random number generator, found a winner, and she emailed me back tout suit. Thanks, everyone, for your lovely comments — and come back soon for more contests and retro fun!
So, I have been in the “let’s do some giveaways” mood. And I was thinking, yes, the holidays are not too far away. And, golly, everyone always goes crazy over Georgia Peachez’ (aka Suzy’s) Shiny Brite wreathes. So I asked Suzy to make one up for me (shown above)… I bought it from her… and it’s sitting on her dining room table itching to go to its new home. How to make a wreath using vintage Christmas tree ornaments — Suzy’s instructions
I bet we’ll get a lot of entries for this one — and there can only be one winner. So, the idea behind posting this giveaway right now is to remind you creative types to think ahead … make sure you’re collecting a whole bunch of vintage ornies … and gear up to make one of these yourself maybe. I know that in a lot of thrift stores across America, they start pulling out all the vintage ornaments for sale pretty soon. Or, maybe you’ve been collecting them all summer? That said, I know a lot of us *think* we’ll do a project… but never do… so keep an eye on Suzy’s blog because she keeps making wreaths all fall… she posts them for sale… and they sell out fast!
In the following super-popular story, Suzy showed us how she does it — how to make a wreath out of vintage Christmas tree ornaments:
Thank you, Suzy — you are such an inspiration!

Hoping that wreath finds it’s way to my front door! Love this blog because I love the old houses and am glad to see that celebrated here.

Christmas is right around the corner! I was just thinking I need to get the shopping/crafting done soon so I don’t have to deal with crowds. LOVE the wreath. Thanks for doing a giveaway!

I love these wreathes! I would make one myself if I could find enough ornaments – and if I knew how to do it! Lol.
I’ll keep up the hunt, but in the meantime it would be wonderful to win this one!

Love these! I’ve been trying to collect enough ornaments at estate sales to make my own wreath after being inspired by ms peachez! I still have no way near enough! Hope to win this one – then problem solved!
