If our family were to win this swank Lava Lamp, we’d put it in our downstairs bar/billiard room. It would perfectly compliment our vintage JC Penny whiskey barrel furniture. 🙂

Lava lamps are so soothing. I want one for my bedroom.

When I was teen, I really wanted a Lava Lamp because in either 1968 or 1969, when I was 13, my friend had one, and they were very popular. My parents couldn’t afford it because we had 7 kids in our family, and it was a luxury item. I would love to win the Lava Lamp and put it above my TV.

It would go in the shag carpet sitting room!

LOL, I would need a lava lamp to torment my sweetie by making him recall his misspent youth.

This week, after trying to buy this house since July, I’m closing on my dream house–a 1960 4-sided brick ranch. I would love to win this lamp and put it in my living room, which has beautiful original hardwood floors and an awesome bay window. There is no overhead light in the living room, so this would be a fantastic addition. I’m so excited that after all this time of reading Retro Renovation, I will finally have a home to preserve and love. I have used your site too many times to count as I’ve researched and purchased products. Thank you so much for the fantastic information. I find myself educating contractors, my real estate agent, my Loan Officer, and employees at several big box stores about the preservation of these houses, and I constantly refer them to your site.

I didn’t have the pleasure of having a Lava lamp. But I always wanted one. I just thought they were so cool. I have a ten year old, and would love to have one to give to her. We tried making one, it didn’t turn out too well. LOL Oh well we tried. Thanks for the opportunity to win one!

I’d add the lava lamp to my bookcase next to my 1950’s Barbie travel case and stack of stitch by stitch 70’s craft books.
