I would keep it in the office so that I could look at it frequently. It would cheer up the computer desk.

When I was a teenager, I had a red lava lamp. One night, I decided to put it in my bedroom window. My parents were out walking the dog and when they got home my mom yelled at me to take the lamp out of the window, as I was NOT living in a brothel. Oops! I had forgotten what a red light in the window meant! 🙂

We recently purchased a vintage lava lamp at an estate sale. We actually picked upholstery fabrics so that they would look good with the lava lamp in our living room. A 50th anniversary one would make a great addition to our living room
