UPDATE: Contest closed. We spinned (spun?) the random and have a winner: Congrats to Lisa, whose number came up and who promptly claimed our prize. Come back every other Friday for our next giveaway!
Howdy, hudee — it’s our first giveaway of the new year. Yesterday we wrote about how gobsmacked Pam was, when she saw the Ikea PS 2014 pendant lamp for the first time in person. Today — you can enter to win one of these lights, provided by Ikea.
How to enter to win an Ikea PS 2014 pendant light:
- To win, you must be a subscriber to our newsletter (Yes, this is “what’s in it for the blog” — you can opt out at any time after the contest ends, or continue on for the stories and because our goal is to schedule a giveaway every two weeks.)
- To enter, use the Comment field on this post below and tell us where you might hang this light. Or whatever, we’re easy.
- One entry per person. U.S. lower 48 states only.
- Entries close on Friday, Jan. 22, around 5 p.m. Eastern — that is, we will close the Comments field at that time.
- Prize: There will be one winner. The winner will receive the light in the color of their choice directly from Ikea.
- Pam will choose the winners via the Random Number Generator at random.org. We will email each person. [Tip: Be sure you enter your email address correctly in the email field of the Comment form.] The winner will have five business days to respond. If we do not hear from them, we will choose the next person who commented. Lather, rinse, repeat. We will post the winner’s first name as soon as all is confirmed.
- Terms of use apply.
Many thanks to Ikea for providing the light for this giveaway!
And congrats to Richard, winners of our last giveaway, a vintage Christmas ornament wreath from Georgia Peachez.
Disclosure: We were not paid to host this giveaway —

I have the tulip table and Saarinen executive chairs and this pendant would complement those…..I also have always had lots of orange in my homes. My current city won’t have an IKEA until next year. I really could have used one when I moved here 10 years ago. There is even a couple here who drive several hours to the closest IKEA and bring back then assemble their furniture, for a fee.

I saw these at Ikea (but couldn’t get any of the demo models to open, all pull cords were broken…). The turquoise is a nifty color. Would look great over our dining room table.

How did I miss this when I searched for an art-inspired light for our laundry room? I settles with something simple, but would exchange my simple $20 dome light for this baby in a heartbeat.

I like that inside of the lamp is copper. It would be ideal in my dining room which is matte salmon with bamboo table. Really, I need this.

I’ve been looking for some globe lights I could hang in a covered ouside porch. Do you know if these are rated for exterior use?

Yowza, way to go Ikea!

I dare say Ikea has provided most MCM enthusiasts just the right and (thank God) affordable furniture and accessories to complete our retro renovation inspired interiors! A lamp like this makes me so happy Ikea came to the U.S.!
