[Entries now closed] Enter to win an Ikea PS 2014 pendant light

pam kueber - Updated: April 13, 2020

Retro Renovation stopped publishing in 2021; these stories remain for historical information, as potential continued resources, and for archival purposes.

Ikea lightUPDATE: Contest closed. We spinned (spun?) the random and have a winner: Congrats to Lisa, whose number came up and who promptly claimed our prize. Come back every other Friday for our next giveaway!

Howdy, hudee — it’s our first giveaway of the new year. Yesterday we wrote about how gobsmacked Pam was, when she saw the Ikea PS 2014 pendant lamp for the first time in person. Today — you can enter to win one of these lights, provided by Ikea.

How to enter to win an Ikea PS 2014 pendant light:

  • To win, you must be a subscriber to our newsletter (Yes, this is “what’s in it for the blog” — you can opt out at any time after the contest ends, or continue on for the stories and because our goal is to schedule a giveaway every two weeks.)
  • To enter, use the Comment field on this post below and tell us where you might hang this light. Or whatever, we’re easy.
  • One entry per person. U.S. lower 48 states only.
  • Entries close on Friday, Jan. 22, around 5 p.m. Eastern — that is, we will close the Comments field at that time.
  • Prize: There will be one winner. The winner will receive the light in the color of their choice directly from Ikea.
  • Pam will choose the winners via the Random Number Generator at random.org. We will email each person. [Tip: Be sure you enter your email address correctly in the email field of the Comment form.] The winner will have five business days to respond. If we do not hear from them, we will choose the next person who commented. Lather, rinse, repeat. We will post the winner’s first name as soon as all is confirmed.
  • Terms of use apply.

Many thanks to Ikea for providing the light for this giveaway!

And congrats to Richard, winners of our last giveaway, a vintage Christmas ornament wreath from Georgia Peachez.

Disclosure: We were not paid to host this giveaway —

Since living & working in Norway years ago, I’ve admired, purchased and gifted innumerable IKEA items. They’ve helped make my humdrum ’50s ranch attractive, comfortable and more efficient. I appreciate a chance to win this unique lighting fixture and enjoy “stealing” good design ideas from your newsletter.

Well of course IKEA has great Nordic modern lamps! They work hard to keep the dark away. If we won this we would hang it above our dining room table.
Keep up the great work and enjoy Las Vegas. Don’t miss Dupars, Frankie’s Tiki Room – its original vintage – and the Neon Museum has done great work to preserve some of the flavor of vintage Vegas.

Every time I’m in IKEA, I look at these and marvel. They are a great alternative to a George Nelson Bubble Lamp!

I would hang this above my retro dining table in my kitchen! The red would be so perfect!
