UPDATE: Contest closed. We spinned (spun?) the random and have a winner: Congrats to Lisa, whose number came up and who promptly claimed our prize. Come back every other Friday for our next giveaway!
Howdy, hudee — it’s our first giveaway of the new year. Yesterday we wrote about how gobsmacked Pam was, when she saw the Ikea PS 2014 pendant lamp for the first time in person. Today — you can enter to win one of these lights, provided by Ikea.
How to enter to win an Ikea PS 2014 pendant light:
- To win, you must be a subscriber to our newsletter (Yes, this is “what’s in it for the blog” — you can opt out at any time after the contest ends, or continue on for the stories and because our goal is to schedule a giveaway every two weeks.)
- To enter, use the Comment field on this post below and tell us where you might hang this light. Or whatever, we’re easy.
- One entry per person. U.S. lower 48 states only.
- Entries close on Friday, Jan. 22, around 5 p.m. Eastern — that is, we will close the Comments field at that time.
- Prize: There will be one winner. The winner will receive the light in the color of their choice directly from Ikea.
- Pam will choose the winners via the Random Number Generator at random.org. We will email each person. [Tip: Be sure you enter your email address correctly in the email field of the Comment form.] The winner will have five business days to respond. If we do not hear from them, we will choose the next person who commented. Lather, rinse, repeat. We will post the winner’s first name as soon as all is confirmed.
- Terms of use apply.
Many thanks to Ikea for providing the light for this giveaway!
And congrats to Richard, winners of our last giveaway, a vintage Christmas ornament wreath from Georgia Peachez.
Disclosure: We were not paid to host this giveaway —

This kick ass light would look terrific over the dining table.

Funny — this light doesn’t fit the décor in my 1943 cottage at all, but I am strangely attracted to it. I would definitely find a place for it.

Last time I visited IKEA, I thought how “groovy” the PS 2014 was and put it on the wish list for my the living room of my 1962 MCM ranch.

luv this light….falling into place would hang in our ” guitar room” where my husband plays/practices …..a small warm gathering place for our grandchildren and baba.

I love the light and since I am in a 1969 building it would be perfect. I also have no overhead light so that would take care of that…The rest of my L.R. is a kind of 1961 That Darn Cat look so how great would that be.
