[Entries now closed] Enter to win an Ikea PS 2014 pendant light

pam kueber - Updated: April 13, 2020

Retro Renovation stopped publishing in 2021; these stories remain for historical information, as potential continued resources, and for archival purposes.

Ikea lightUPDATE: Contest closed. We spinned (spun?) the random and have a winner: Congrats to Lisa, whose number came up and who promptly claimed our prize. Come back every other Friday for our next giveaway!

Howdy, hudee — it’s our first giveaway of the new year. Yesterday we wrote about how gobsmacked Pam was, when she saw the Ikea PS 2014 pendant lamp for the first time in person. Today — you can enter to win one of these lights, provided by Ikea.

How to enter to win an Ikea PS 2014 pendant light:

  • To win, you must be a subscriber to our newsletter (Yes, this is “what’s in it for the blog” — you can opt out at any time after the contest ends, or continue on for the stories and because our goal is to schedule a giveaway every two weeks.)
  • To enter, use the Comment field on this post below and tell us where you might hang this light. Or whatever, we’re easy.
  • One entry per person. U.S. lower 48 states only.
  • Entries close on Friday, Jan. 22, around 5 p.m. Eastern — that is, we will close the Comments field at that time.
  • Prize: There will be one winner. The winner will receive the light in the color of their choice directly from Ikea.
  • Pam will choose the winners via the Random Number Generator at random.org. We will email each person. [Tip: Be sure you enter your email address correctly in the email field of the Comment form.] The winner will have five business days to respond. If we do not hear from them, we will choose the next person who commented. Lather, rinse, repeat. We will post the winner’s first name as soon as all is confirmed.
  • Terms of use apply.

Many thanks to Ikea for providing the light for this giveaway!

And congrats to Richard, winners of our last giveaway, a vintage Christmas ornament wreath from Georgia Peachez.

Disclosure: We were not paid to host this giveaway —
we do giveaways to delight readers and to grow our newsletter list.

I’d hang it in my 1950’s basement.

Seriously gorgeous! This would look fantastic in my kitchen over the table with with my maroon table cloth to accentuate it.

Ooooooh my sweetheart was loving this light last time we visited Ikea. He just got a new place and has absolutely nothing to furnish it with. This would be a fun addition!

It’s a modern death star for the dining room!

While attempting to store an amazing original midcentury light fixture that had been in what is now our daughter’s nursery (it hung where we ended up putting the crib, so we had to remove it so we wouldn’t whack our heads) my husband shattered the gorgeous patterned glass shade.

This might be the replacement once the crib is gone. It would at least help me get over the pain of the gorgeous broken light. 🙁
