Retro Renovation stopped publishing in 2021; these stories remain for historical information, as potential continued resources, and for archival purposes.
I forget by a day every year — happy birthday to we — we’re nine — yesterday, Oct. 26! That’s like, what — 35 years — in blog years? To celebrate, I’m taking Friday off to go estate-sale-ing — see you Monday!
You are my inspiration, thanks for all you do!

If you grew up in the broadcast area of L.A. in the ’60’s you likely spent many an afternoon with Sheriff John and everyday he would sing- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwfIanJ96d8

Have loved your blog for at least 7 of those years.! Keep it up…we are still out here:)
Happy Birthday, Retro Renovation! I have following the blog for most of those years and have loved seeing how it developed. I also must say how incredibly important so many of your posts have been in keeping me informed about sources and resources. You’re absolutely my go-to site for any questions I have for my 1956 ranch in Portland, and now, for my 1960 ranch in Astoria, OR. Thank you for your energy and commitment, Pam. Long live RR!

Happy Birthday, RetroRenovation, I too have an anniversary coming up Oct 30th, 9 years ago I closed on my ranch home. You’ve been there for all my renovations and are an excellent resource as I restore my home to it’s original splendor.
Thanks for all you do!!

Happy, Happy Birthday! Thank you Pam and Kate for the multitude of articles and reminders etc. Words cannot express how much I have enjoyed being a voyeur of this website. I could say much more, but I will merely add this; When I pull up the webpage and the woodgrain backdrop pops up, I am on edge with excitement. It’s like pulling a glossy new magazine from the mailbox. (Yes I still get those.) Thanks a million!
