Final report, Saturday, June 8: Congratulations to Kristin, Jenny, and Margie — our three winners, all confirmed! Thanks, everyone, for playing! ENTRIES NOW CLOSED.
It’s giveaway time — and this time, there will be three winners! Once I started talking with the owner of Bauer Pottery about the mid mod mad Brayton Laguna cats the company is now making from original 1960s molds, it seemed like a no-brainer that a giveaway would follow. And indeed, Bauer Pottery is generously offering to send one of these sleek sculptures to three winners. Choose your color!

How to enter to win:
- To win, you must be a subscriber to our newsletter (Yes, this is “what’s in it for the blog” — you can opt out at any time after the contest ends, or continue on for the stories and other, occasional giveaways.)
- To enter, use the Comment field below and tell us something about these cool cats — which color would you choose, why do you like them… or tell us whatever, this is all for fun.
- You can enter once per day now through Monday, June 3, 6 p.m., when entries close. (You only need to subscribe to the newsletter once, though!)
- U.S. and Canada only.
- Prize: There will be three winners. Each winner will receive one cat, in one of the five stock colors of their choice, directly from Bauer Pottery.
- Pam will choose the winners via the Random Number Generator at random.org. I will check if the ‘winner’ is a newsletter subscriber. I will email the winner. [Tip: Be sure you enter your email address correctly in the email field of the Comment form.] The winner will have five business days to respond. If I do not hear from them, I will choose the next person after who commented. Lather, rinse, repeat. I will post the winner’s first name as soon as all is confirmed.
- Terms of use apply.
Thank you so much, Bauer Pottery (see all the cool cats and their full product line here)!

All the colors are beautiful, but I’ve have had three black kitties in my life. Several of them had their own special antics in the kitchen, Larry napping at the very edge of the counter and occasionally falling off and Fuzzy’s love of fresh corn. My mom could not corn off the cob without Fuzzy running in to chew on the cobs. Besides, I think black would be most striking in my kitchen.
I’ll still put my tortie vase and my white cat cookie jar in the kitchen along with the bulldog cookie jar.

We have five cats in our home; cats are very dear to my heart! I would LOVE the orange cat!
BONNIE ELLIS says
I have loved the color orange since I was a kid! That being said, they are all fabulous, and I would be honored to give any one of them a home!
Heather Dove says
These are awesome! I would choose the orange one because it would go with the vintage orange vinyl couch in my living room! Thank you for your generosity!
Sheila says
I really, really want the pink one. And I’ll even drive down to Bauer Pottery to pick it up and save the postage!

I’m a crazy cat lady and besides my real crazy cat, I’m crazy for mid century modern and vintage cats! I’ve never had a copper green cat! I think I could love it as much as I love all my other kitties!
Elaine Detrio says
Turquoise it would have to be!
Colleen Rust says
I would LOVE the aqua cat as he’d match my Aqua Bauer bowls! These cats are so perfect!
Jiji Deluge says
I love all of the colors! But definitely the green! My Grandmother collected Baird and when she passed I inherited her collection. And I’ve been adding to it sense then’
Adele says
The turquoise cat would look great with my Bauer Rebekah vase.
