2015 was a very good year

Pam and Kate need a serious break. So now through the end of the year, we are not looking at the blog. You can still comment — but all comments will go into moderation. >We added seven new amazing time capsule houses to our archive (which is now over 100!)Readers love the 1940s, so we explored the basics to create a 1940s kitchen — so far, we have four archetypes.We love discovering designers who are at risk of being forgotten. We heart Louisa Kostich Cowan. Our #1 new story of the year was this New Old Stock Youngstown Kitchen, found boxed up after 67 years.  Danny Gallardo — aka Tiki Diablo — got his tiki designs into Home Depot! Woot! Now, we need ’em east of the Mississippi!  Pam and her pots are now immortalized at the Carnegie Museum of Art. (Report on the Nov. 19 opening coming soon, bad Pam.)
