Another source for vintage bathroom sinks in a variety of vintage colors — Sinks from Match My Tile. Their prices are not Re-Store prices, but they have done the legwork for you — scooping up sinks from all over their region to make an easy-to-shop stockpile.
Note, this story includes affiliate links to ebay — that is, I earn a small commission if you click and end up buying something. This seller has a wide variety of colorful bathroom sinks available as well as interesting shapes and configurations — like this pink sink above.
We wanted to know — where did all of this retro bathroom goodness come from? So I reached out to Diane for an answer.
Diane writes:
Our products come from EVERYWHERE – literally. We did make a large purchase on the retro oval and round sinks from a Saginaw Restore, but we scout at any recycling, reclaiming, home improvement, old stores, plumber friends, Craigslist, eBay, and sometimes people who know what we do actually have dropped off loads of ceramic products from projects in our driveway (that was pretty funny, actually).
Just yesterday, I finished preliminary work on our website that at this point features our sinks (at least half of them). It took a year, but we can now handle our matching service, location and shipping with speed and quality. If you ever saw that UPS type commercial when the business went from 1 order to 1000 orders, we have been blessed to have a fair amount of success matching tiles and providing replacement ceramic products enough to keep all of us pretty busy – while trying to get inventory and organization under control. About half of our inventory is actually available for sale – and we are now just venturing outside of ebay.
We also have a Facebook site – The King of Thrones, which shows our current warehouse setup and some fun stuff.
Their website is not quite up and running, so for the time being you can shop directly through their Ebay store and see updates via their Facebook page.
King of Thrones has a variety of difficult to find greens — including Jadeite, lime green (above) and avocado (below).
- Which “green” do you have or want? See our story: The color green in kitchens and baths from 1928 to 1962.
They also currently have >> Lots of replacement tile listings too.
Mega thanks to Diane from MatchmyTile/King of Thrones for granting us permission to feature some of her photos. Shiny! Colorful!

Hi!
I am looking for a regency blue American standard sink from 1960’s. Specifically the undermount oval version. I have all my original fixtures and even kept the sinks when I had to re-do my vanities. I was able to do a custom cabinet and did a white Carrara marble top. The whole think looks fantastic. Very Eames! Unfortunately given my luck I dropped a bottle of deodorant and it cracked! Now I am stuck looking for a replacement as I don’t want to throw out the whole look.
Further to my problem. The cabinet was designed with one of the drawers cladded in Formica in the same regency blue to match. The sink is set in a way that the underside of the bowl can be seen. So it is very important to the whole look.
If anyone out there knows where I can source one I would really appreciate the lead.
THANKS!!!!
Man with bottomless problem!

Hi Luis, did you try the company profiled – they also now have a website >> https://matchmytile.com/collections/bathroom-accessories
In addition, Peerless still carries Dresden Blue, and the last time we checked there WAS an undermount, note, though, that could have changed but certainly worth checking >> https://retrorenovation.com/2016/02/15/pink-gold-blue-beige-toilets-where-to-buy/
Otherwise, it’s a bit of a needle in a haystack search, as with many things vintage: ebay, salvage companies, etc.
Good luck.

I’m looking for a lavender coloured bathroom sink

Hi George, I don’t sell anything. Dive into the stories (including categories/subcategories) and then refer to the vendors profiled. The bright blue bold text = hotlinks to their sites. These are around!
Jodi in Florida says
George, if you have any luck finding a vendor who carries two of these, please share info. I’m also looking for a lavender sink (circa 1962) to match my Rheem G2210 water closet.

Jodi, here are some basic stories to help you start looking: https://retrorenovation.com/?s=find+vintage+sinks+toilets+tubs

I know this article is old but I came across it today after nearly being finished redoing my bathroom. Guess where my vintage blue sink came from?! The Saginaw, MI ReStore! I live in Indiana but we were there on vacation. To my family’s chagrin, we stop at the ReStore on every out of town trip. This stop definitely paid off. My sink looks beautiful!

Thank you for your post! I am renovating a 1979 house, and stubbornly (lovingly) keeping the blue american standard shower and matching sinks in the upstairs bathroom!. It has been the source of contention and stress, when I ask for opinion on my color scheme, *and I realize I did ask for opinions* I get told – Ditch the blue sinks and shower! Number one, I want to be mindful of the wastefulness of renovations – these work very well and I dont need to create landfill just based on whim. Secondly, the blue color is bright and beautiful and makes me happy!
However, I did come to your post looking for ideas for countertop colors that coordinate well with these colored sinks. Any recommendations? I am being told white, but its so stark, and doesnt pair well with my flooring and walls. I am thinking a brown stone-like laminate. THanks!

Hi Aria,
All our countertop research is in Kitchen Help / Countertops. https://retrorenovation.com/category/kitchen/countertops/
My first thought was, go for it with the vintage Wilsonart Daisy in blue: https://retrorenovation.com/2014/11/05/1960s-1970s-reproduction-design-laminate-wilsonart-retro/
Alternatively, start hunting for a piece of vintage glitter laminate.
Or: Maybe Carrara laminate: https://retrorenovation.com/2011/10/28/carrara-marble-laminates-3-choices-an-authentic-retro-choice/
You could also tile the countertop, which would have been a very popular option in the 70s.
Send me a photo! Maybe I will do a story! Contact box is at the bottom of the blog.

Seven years ago we replaced our bathroom vanity with its Regency Blue drop-in sink bowl. The bowl was still in great condition and still had the Made in USA union label on the underside. I didn’t have the heart to throw it out, so it’s been sitting in my basement for seven years. Partly due to this blog, we will be bringing it upstairs and re-installing it in a new cabinet in its old place.
Thank you for the inspiration!

The affiliate links do not appear to be working. Just tried both of them, and got an ‘invalid seller name’ at Ebay.
