Tulip Table by CB2 does 50s style affordably

pam kueber - Updated: August 9, 2021

Retro Renovation stopped publishing in 2021; these stories remain for historical information, as potential continued resources, and for archival purposes.

tulip table from cb2I found this great buy on a reproduction Tulip Table – only $150 or so, from CB2 plus shipping. Note, this table has a matte finish – while the chairs that I posted on have a glossy finish. But the difference doesn’t bother me. And the total price was quite right compared to buying the Saarinen original – as great as that would have been.

$199 but yeah, it’s on my list of things to get!

My Dad was in a seniors motor home park in central Florida and bought it furnished 20 yrs ago — with all the original 70s decor. While my taste runs a bit earlier, my colors are aqua, blue, lime-ish green and purple, and he had a pair of dining chairs that I talked him out of. They have brass/white spoke bases, and a white stem, and lime-ish green vinyl upholstery. They’re on sliders and they rotate, which is so great for a small breakfast nook space! Anyhow, I think this is the perfect table for them, the spoke feet won’t have table legs to fight with!
