I got my first and only Lava lite from the Annapolis goodwill when I was about 14. I was so excited. They had written the price on the glass in grease pencil- $12. They didn’t have plugs to try electrical items then, and $12 was a lot of money for me to possibly pay for a broken lava lamp. Possibly the worst thing I’ve ever done- I rubbed that tens place out and was thrilled to take home my $2 lava lamp. It worked great for years and years.

I would surely put this cool (warm actually!) Lava Lamp in the family room of our 1965 ranch, complete with wood paneling, used brick fireplace accent wall with original sconces and original aluminum sliding glass door!

I would love to win one of these lamps. I am so into retro mid-century modern right now that I look all the time to see what I can find out about different pieces.

My daughters have been begging for a lava lamp! It would go in the living room so they could see it anytime

As one who grew up seeing all types of lamps, from the originals to copies, I would love to put mine in my bedroom and watch watch it as I drift off to sleep. I might have to fight my son for it. He loved to collect them while he was growing up.

I will put it in the Family room of our 1964 house
