I love the lava lamp. My boyfriend in college had one and we took it with us when we married. Later, I gave one to our teenaged son. He took it with him when he married. Today it resides in my grandson’s bedroom. It’s a traveling lava lamp!

I lost my father when I was in third grade and received some of his belongings to keep, one of which was a Lava Lamp. It had red wax and maybe yellow liquid, I thought it was clear. and it had a gold or bronze color base. Any how I had it many years and then it got tipped over and the cap broke off spelling the contents. We saved the blobs but for the life of us could not figure out what kind of oil or what ever it is to use. Any ways I would love to have another for the memories, I would put it right next to my t.v.

The coolest cousin we had had a lava lamp and that’s what made him the coolest. Some day when I had the money I was going to get one too. Hey! now I can afford one! A red and yellow one for the formal living room. The gold and purple 50th anniversary one would be perfect for the real living room.

Had one back in the 70’s in my HS bedroom. Along with a knockoff Egg chair, Red White & Blue Shag carpet and a bean bag between my Stereo speakers!

My house was built in 1966 so it won’t turn 50 until next year, but I still think one of these would look great in my family room.

I HAVE ONE OF THE VERY FIRST EDITIONS OF THE LAVA LAMP (LARGER IN DIAMETER) ON RIGHT NOW IN MY LIVING ROOM!!!
Cecil says
It would go in our teen son’s room as boys are so hard to find things to decorate their rooms up with.

I think I will put the lava lamp on the piano in the family room of our 1964 MCM rancher in Mineola, TX. It’s fun to watch, but even MORE FUN to own a piece of history!
