[Entries now closed] Enter to win an Ikea PS 2014 pendant light

pam kueber - Updated: April 13, 2020

Retro Renovation stopped publishing in 2021; these stories remain for historical information, as potential continued resources, and for archival purposes.

Ikea lightUPDATE: Contest closed. We spinned (spun?) the random and have a winner: Congrats to Lisa, whose number came up and who promptly claimed our prize. Come back every other Friday for our next giveaway!

Howdy, hudee — it’s our first giveaway of the new year. Yesterday we wrote about how gobsmacked Pam was, when she saw the Ikea PS 2014 pendant lamp for the first time in person. Today — you can enter to win one of these lights, provided by Ikea.

How to enter to win an Ikea PS 2014 pendant light:

  • To win, you must be a subscriber to our newsletter (Yes, this is “what’s in it for the blog” — you can opt out at any time after the contest ends, or continue on for the stories and because our goal is to schedule a giveaway every two weeks.)
  • To enter, use the Comment field on this post below and tell us where you might hang this light. Or whatever, we’re easy.
  • One entry per person. U.S. lower 48 states only.
  • Entries close on Friday, Jan. 22, around 5 p.m. Eastern — that is, we will close the Comments field at that time.
  • Prize: There will be one winner. The winner will receive the light in the color of their choice directly from Ikea.
  • Pam will choose the winners via the Random Number Generator at random.org. We will email each person. [Tip: Be sure you enter your email address correctly in the email field of the Comment form.] The winner will have five business days to respond. If we do not hear from them, we will choose the next person who commented. Lather, rinse, repeat. We will post the winner’s first name as soon as all is confirmed.
  • Terms of use apply.

Many thanks to Ikea for providing the light for this giveaway!

And congrats to Richard, winners of our last giveaway, a vintage Christmas ornament wreath from Georgia Peachez.

I would put it above the dining table or maybe the den. Picking a color is the hard part! Thanks for the giveaway.

Hello Gorgeous!! I love how it looks above the dining table in the photo! I would do that! Or maybe in the entryway….or the den… 🙂

I have had my eye on this lamp since I first saw it back in 2013, but am currently renting so never could buy (but secretly hoped they continue to sell it until I buy my forever home). But this past year, I saw the copper and chrome and was like SQUEE! Reminds me of the star wars death star, but in a good way. I wanted the orange for my son’s room, but once I saw the copper and chrome options, I was thinking in my home office or above the eat-in kitchen table.

This would go in my living room, and be AWESOME! I would have to decide between orange and turquoise though, which will be difficult.

I would hang this light over my 1950s table and sparkle vinyl chairs!

I’d hang this in my kitchen. Thanks for the giveaway!

I’d hang this light in the loft area of my attic!

I love this light, the orange and copper colors are pretty calming to look at. I would probably use this for either a basement room or an office.

I hace 2 living rooms – one contains my parents furniture from 1952. I would hang it there!

Ikea really got the MCM vibe right with this lamp! It would look great in a dining room or a vestibule as a fabulous way to welcome people to your home.
