UPDATE: Contest closed. We spinned (spun?) the random and have a winner: Congrats to Lisa, whose number came up and who promptly claimed our prize. Come back every other Friday for our next giveaway!
Howdy, hudee — it’s our first giveaway of the new year. Yesterday we wrote about how gobsmacked Pam was, when she saw the Ikea PS 2014 pendant lamp for the first time in person. Today — you can enter to win one of these lights, provided by Ikea.
How to enter to win an Ikea PS 2014 pendant light:
- To win, you must be a subscriber to our newsletter (Yes, this is “what’s in it for the blog” — you can opt out at any time after the contest ends, or continue on for the stories and because our goal is to schedule a giveaway every two weeks.)
- To enter, use the Comment field on this post below and tell us where you might hang this light. Or whatever, we’re easy.
- One entry per person. U.S. lower 48 states only.
- Entries close on Friday, Jan. 22, around 5 p.m. Eastern — that is, we will close the Comments field at that time.
- Prize: There will be one winner. The winner will receive the light in the color of their choice directly from Ikea.
- Pam will choose the winners via the Random Number Generator at random.org. We will email each person. [Tip: Be sure you enter your email address correctly in the email field of the Comment form.] The winner will have five business days to respond. If we do not hear from them, we will choose the next person who commented. Lather, rinse, repeat. We will post the winner’s first name as soon as all is confirmed.
- Terms of use apply.
Many thanks to Ikea for providing the light for this giveaway!
And congrats to Richard, winners of our last giveaway, a vintage Christmas ornament wreath from Georgia Peachez.
Disclosure: We were not paid to host this giveaway —

Beautiful! I would definitely hang this in my kitchen, directly over my Ikea table and chairs.
Craig G says
Tempted to put it in the kitchen, but it would be too hard to clean all the pieces inside and out. I’m thinking breakfast nook, or living room, where it would go great with a lava lamp. Thanks!
Stacia says
This would look great over my table!
Kim H says
This would be proudly displayed over my dining room table!
Christian Beltrame says
It will go to my daughter’s bedroom.
Jenny A. says
I would hang this in my kitchen!
Jennifer says
Over my danish-modern roll-top desk, of course….
Sandra says
It would be appropriate over my dining table, and fit my design for my 1956 home.
My only concern is whether it produces enough light for doing homework at night. It’s so hard to judge light from photos!
Jeanne says
My new (old) house in the upper peninsula needs some updating. Would love to hang this in the dining room or bedroom! Thank you!!

Maybe this time I’ll win. Never have before. Fingers Crossed! Love this fixture!
