Final report, Saturday, June 8: Congratulations to Kristin, Jenny, and Margie — our three winners, all confirmed! Thanks, everyone, for playing! ENTRIES NOW CLOSED.
It’s giveaway time — and this time, there will be three winners! Once I started talking with the owner of Bauer Pottery about the mid mod mad Brayton Laguna cats the company is now making from original 1960s molds, it seemed like a no-brainer that a giveaway would follow. And indeed, Bauer Pottery is generously offering to send one of these sleek sculptures to three winners. Choose your color!

How to enter to win:
- To win, you must be a subscriber to our newsletter (Yes, this is “what’s in it for the blog” — you can opt out at any time after the contest ends, or continue on for the stories and other, occasional giveaways.)
- To enter, use the Comment field below and tell us something about these cool cats — which color would you choose, why do you like them… or tell us whatever, this is all for fun.
- You can enter once per day now through Monday, June 3, 6 p.m., when entries close. (You only need to subscribe to the newsletter once, though!)
- U.S. and Canada only.
- Prize: There will be three winners. Each winner will receive one cat, in one of the five stock colors of their choice, directly from Bauer Pottery.
- Pam will choose the winners via the Random Number Generator at random.org. I will check if the ‘winner’ is a newsletter subscriber. I will email the winner. [Tip: Be sure you enter your email address correctly in the email field of the Comment form.] The winner will have five business days to respond. If I do not hear from them, I will choose the next person after who commented. Lather, rinse, repeat. I will post the winner’s first name as soon as all is confirmed.
- Terms of use apply.
Thank you so much, Bauer Pottery (see all the cool cats and their full product line here)!

Black or teal. Teal or black. Decisions decisions.

They are all so cool! Not sure which color to choose!
Courtney says
I’m not even much of a cat person, but I love the black cat sculpture. The simplified silhouette is gorgeous 🙂
Lonny Gorrill says
I purchased the teal one and it is stunning! Love it ?
Congrats to the future winners!
Brittany says
I love all the colors, but especially the orange. It would look fabulous in my 70s contemporary home! Thank you for the opportunity to win!
Jen says
I can’t decide between orange and turquoise. These cats are GORGEOUS!
Joel says
My grandmother used aqua, orange and warm white as accent colors throughout my grandparents’ mid-century home. I would definitely choose the color orange if I’m forced to pick only one color.
Mark says
The Black, Orange and Aqua would be perfect in my mid century modern home. I think I’d put it in our front room so everyone can see it. Probably the Black or Orange.
Cindy says
I would like to win a black cat. I would give it to my neighbor and friend who just lost her black cat, Joseph, due to illness.
Lisa Funk says
My mid mod decor and 2 kitties would love the copper green or satin pink!

I discovered myself about 10 years ago after a divorce. I discovered my love of color and Mid-Century design. Since then, with very limited funds, I have pieced together my home, my safe place. A place where my cats (live ones!) and I are safe, comfortable and free of others restrictions on our lives. Oh, and I’ve had an absolute blast, the time of my life doing it!
Orange is the new color of ME. It’s everywhere around in small doses, reminding me that this is me and it’s all mine. So I’d love the opportunity to win an orange Brayton Laguna cat as representative of my love for my real live cats (Mischa & Ryli) and our lives in our own little MCM paradise!
