Check out this store in Hampton, Virginia — two stories chock full of vintage table lamps, boudoir lamps, floor lamps, chandeliers, sconces, and replacements globes, shades and parts — spotted by Suzy aka Georgia Peachez. You will recall, Suzy is world famous for her Christmas wreaths made from vintage ornaments. She writes:

Cody’s Lights & Repair is still open and going strong! I visited there today (wearing a mask!!) looking for a glass canopy for my new to me Murano glass chandelier, and left with three canopies (undecidedly) and a pair of brass cone Light-O-Lier wall sconces for my bedroom. This is my third trip there, and with every visit I spend much more time than I initially anticipate (it’s a good thing) and find things I simply must have. The store is a visual (and literal) cornucopia of a century’s worth of lighting styles. The first floor is organized as you would expect a lighting shop. Whole priced pieces like chandeliers, pendants, sconces, table lamps, etc. you’ll find there, along with countless glass globes, shades, and fixtures. If you need a specific piece or part, just speak to Mr. or Mrs. Henson (owners), Nick, or Erin. However, the treat is the second floor (for those who don’t mind sifting a bit). Shelves upon shelves of *everything* lighting. There’s a huge section of just boxes and miscellaneous items that you’re allowed to look through. Find something you need or want? Bring it downstairs with you! Mr. Henson will price it on the spot. I found two of my canopies up there. My words do not do a good job of describing the place, but it is lovely, and the folks there are as nice as can be. Erin is working on establishing and tweaking their internet presence as I speak. O-M-G! I’m actually so THANKFUL they are 3000 miles from the west coast. This store would mean bankruptcy for me, for sure!
Antique and vintage lighting is my # 1 weakness….tile is great, but lights are the bomb for me. Antique lights is also the reason I wish I could have 6 different houses so I could go hog wild with every era of vintage lights and lamps!

I’m with you, Tami! I love lamps and light fixtures more than just about anything else. My whole house would look like a lighting store if I had my way. I only aspired to do each room in my house in a different era, but six houses–now you’re talking!
