Yes. This one broke too. Long story. New link posted above! All entries so far count.

I know: According to authentic retro etiquette, it’s way too early to talk Christmas decorations. But if you are thinking about doing fabulous things with vintage Shiny Brite ornaments, you only have so many days left to ornie-hoard and hot-glue. Or… if you know you are never gonna get this crafty yourself — here’s your chance to win our super famous annual giveaway: A vintage Shiny Brite ornament wreath made by the the queen of Shiny Brite crafting, the talented and generous Georgia Peachez. WOOT!

Suzy of Georgia Peachez
Suzy aka Georgia Peachez

Every year, as a gift to readers, I buy a wreath from Suzy aka Georgia Peachez for this giveaway. Thank you, readers, for being THE BEST. I luv you! Suzy always jumps to help out. She gave me a great price (her wreaths now sell for $250! each!) — and quick as I asked, she made this special wreath just for us. She said:

Pam, I made a wreath with my two favorite elements, a knee hugger elf and a reindeer.

Heck to the yeah, knee hugger elf and reindeer! Thank you, Suzy!

Instructions to enter to win the Shiny Brite wreath made by Georgia Peachez:

  • STEP #1: Add a comment below and in it: Tell us, what is your favorite part of the holiday season? Or whatever. As always, this is fundamentally about spreading the love in any ole way you’re comfortable with. Please note: If you are a first-time commenter, I must “free” your comment from moderation. This may not happen quickly, especially if it’s the weekend. So hang tight.
  • STEP #2: You must be a subscriber to my weekly newsletter to win. (Yes, I am using this as a way to try to keep you addicted to the blog. Please know, though, you can unsubscribe at any time.)
  • One entry per person.
  • 48 states only. Sorry, Alaska, Hawaii and rest of world — this is quite a bulky item and expensive to ship, as it is.
  • Terms of Use apply to all participation on the blog — please read ’em.
  • I’ll run this one for one full week. So, contest ends Friday morning, Nov. 8, 10 am ish Eastern. Again: Winner gets the wreath shown.
  • I will choose a winner via the random.org random number generator… I will check the newsletter log to see that the winner is a bona-fide newsletter subscriber… if so, I will contact the winner (if not, I will move the next person in the comment stream)… they have one calendar week to respond… and if I don’t hear from them, Iwill move on to the next person in the comment stream. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Be sure to enter your email address correctly in the Comment form!
  • I will post the first name of the winner at the top of this post as soon as they confirm.

Can’t wait to win? Want to make more of your own? Suzy has been super generous and shared her how-to: How to make a Christmas wreath out of vintage Shiny Brites ornaments of your very own. –>.

I love the end of the year holidays as they are so nostalgic for me. It is the only time of year that I am able to see all of my family and for that I am grateful.

My favorite part of Christmas is watching all my old Christmas movies, Holiday Inn, White Christmas, Christmas in Connecticut, with family!

My favorite part of the season is DECORATING! I do a tree in every room. This year, my trees will have tinsel. It’s a bittersweet change for us. We love tinsel, but never could use it because our kitty would eat it. Last year we lost our kitties (both of them in the same year.) They made it past 19, though, which is a wonderful ripe old age. They were spoiled like crazy. This year we will hang their little memorial paw-prints on the family tree and remember them fondly.

Georgia Peachez, another Georgia girl (a transplant) just LOVES your wreaths! What a great way to use the ornaments. I may give it a try one of these years! I have a GIANT Shiny Brite bell — it’s hot pink and probably 8 inches tall. How the heck can I fit that in somewhere? I’ve enjoyed looking at all your wreaths, even if I don’t win one. 🙂

My favorite part of the holidays is getting together with family & remembering my Mom & Grandma lovingly doing all the cooking (with help from us kids too). We are Italian & Christmastime was always a big gathering with lots of food. And the fish on Christmas eve. So good! Now my children & grandchildren are all lovingly carrying on the family traditions, thanks to my mother passing down the family recipes!

Hmmmm, favorite parts of the holiday…could just be the lovely light in the eyes of your puppy as she reaches to remove an ornament from the tree! The puppy in question is 2 now (got her just before Christmas year before last) so I’m hoping it will be safe to have a tree this year. But will definitely be hanging the dangerous/valuable ornaments out of her reach!

Love the wreath! My fave part of the holiday is making sweet treats to give for presents.

What i love most about the holidays is being at home with family and our little Westie, Bailey. I don’t mind if we even have a raging blizzard going– as long as everyone is safe and warm inside and the fire is glowing……

Have been lurking on this site for 6 months–ever since we bought a home built in 1961! I’m excited to decorate for Christmas since this is our first “real” house!
