Yes. This one broke too. Long story. New link posted above! All entries so far count.

I know: According to authentic retro etiquette, it’s way too early to talk Christmas decorations. But if you are thinking about doing fabulous things with vintage Shiny Brite ornaments, you only have so many days left to ornie-hoard and hot-glue. Or… if you know you are never gonna get this crafty yourself — here’s your chance to win our super famous annual giveaway: A vintage Shiny Brite ornament wreath made by the the queen of Shiny Brite crafting, the talented and generous Georgia Peachez. WOOT!

Suzy of Georgia Peachez
Suzy aka Georgia Peachez

Every year, as a gift to readers, I buy a wreath from Suzy aka Georgia Peachez for this giveaway. Thank you, readers, for being THE BEST. I luv you! Suzy always jumps to help out. She gave me a great price (her wreaths now sell for $250! each!) — and quick as I asked, she made this special wreath just for us. She said:

Pam, I made a wreath with my two favorite elements, a knee hugger elf and a reindeer.

Heck to the yeah, knee hugger elf and reindeer! Thank you, Suzy!

I think my favorite thing about the holiday season is crafting, making gifts and the focus on giving to others. My kids really love to pick gifts from a catalog to give families and kids in need. Not sure I should mention the catalog but there are several out there to choose from. I was really surprised how much they look forward to picking things out for kids they’ll never meet. Makes me the proudest mom ever.

My favorite part of the holidays is pulling out all my boxes of vintage ornaments, buying a real live tree and decorating it!

One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is hanging Shiny Brites on our aluminum tree. We’d love to have a wreath to add to our decor!

my favorite part of Christmas is having my husband to share our life events together and to reflect on the yearand our family and how very fortunate we are to have them to celebrate with.. We have just purchased a 1970 home and will move into it next week. Rennovations have not been done yet but the vintage shiny brite wreath by Georgia would be a perfect first addition to our new/old home.

Just thinkin’ about this favorite part of the holiday season. I never thought I had a favorite part…but I do, and it’s not a big deal, really. I really love Christmas Day, about 3:00 p.m. , when my Mom and Dad, 3 sisters, their hubs and kids, my hubs and kids and our kid’s kids are all gathered at Mom and Dad’s house. Some are opening presents, some are havin’ a cocktail, some are digging into pumpkin pie, the little brats (I love them to pieces!) are eating Christmas cookies on the couch and then I look up and there is a snapshot. A snapshot in my head. I look at all of these great people presents present at that moment and the love that is moving the room like those whirling dervish kids and dogs (forgot about them) and I just think “yeah, thanks God, this is good”.

Hey Pam, I love your blog, I’ve been a follower so long I forget how long I’ve been a follower. My husband and I fell in love with this 1950 raised ranch almost 18 years ago. The majority of it is still original. We like it that way. My sisters moan about my boomerang laminate counter tops and I feel like such a snob knowing that I could go out and buy their cookie cutter granite counters any old day, but I have more class than that.

BTW, while I’m on a roll, I adore Georgia Peaches wreaths. I covted one all last Christmas season. I’m thinkin’ IF I don’t win one, I may have to try my hand and patience at one of these.

This wreath reminds me of my Grandma Sigurdson who’s silver MCM Christmas tree positively
    sparkled with Christmas magic.

My favorite part of Christmas is flying home to spend it with my family, and watching “It’s A Wonderful Life” on a continuous loop with my brother as we wrap his kids’ gifts. Also, the general feeling of good will in the air. People seem to smile more when you’re out and about. I love the music and, yes, I’m one that starts listening to Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving. I love decorating! Even as a little girl, I decorated my bedroom with a little Christmas tree and lots of Christmas decor. As an adult, I love my Christmas village, which I set up in my office. I love to decorate so much, but I live in California and fly home to NJ for Christmas, so my decorations are limited and carefully chosen because I’m not in my own home for Christmas. I’ll be shameless: I want this wreath so much!!! I mean, c’mon, a knee-hugger elf and a reindeer! I’ve LOVED Georgia Peachez wreaths for a few years now and the couple of times I went to get one (holding out FOR a knee-hugger elf and a reindeer!), they’ve been sold out (and/or too expensive for me at the time). AND my name is Suzy, spelled with a “Z.” Fate? I think so! Thanks so much for the opportunity to win this utterly fantastic wreath! This would look soooooo good in my mid-century living room! 🙂

I love remembering how excited we were when the Sears Wish Book, JC Penney and Montgomery Wards Christmas catalog came out. We would sit and look at those books for hours, planning what exactly we should ask for!

My favorite part of the Christmas holidays is family time. it is a time to reflect what the meaning of Christmas means and share our blessings with others.

Christmas will be a favorite time this year as we have just purchased a 1970 home that we will be moving into next week. Since we have not done any rennovations ….a beautiful vintage shiney bright wreath would be a perfect first ornament for our new home. We are most grateful every Christmas to be able to celebrate each other and being blessed with good health and family.
