Update: 12/7 — Congratulations to Heather, winner of the wreath. Her number came up! Thanks, all, for playing! ENTRIES NOW CLOSED.
It’s time for our most awaited giveaway of the year — a chance to win one of Georgia Peachez’ gorgeous vintage Christmas ornament wreaths — complete with vintage kneehugger elf made to order just for me — to give away to one of you! As far as I know, Georgia Peachez was the pioneer of the vintage ornament wreath, and has honed her craft to perfection. There’s nothing quite like an original GeorgiaPeachez creation! Read on for the rules to enter — and note, you can enter here daily now through Monday, Dec. 4.
As far as I know, Georgia Peachez aka Suzy was the first one to make and sell these wreaths starting about 10 years ago. She started a phenom! In the last few years, Suzy has also started creating non-wreath vintage goodies, such as arrangements made in vintage vessels like head vases, retro toys and Christmas ceramics, as well as dioramas made using the vintage ornament boxes. You can see a lot of her adorable creations on GeorgiaPeachez’s Facebook page and in her online shop. Bottom line, we just adore this artist and all she does!
How to enter to win this vintage ornament wreath made by GeorgiaPeachez:
- To win, you must be a subscriber to our newsletter (Yes, this is “what’s in it for the blog” — you can opt out at any time after the contest ends, or continue on for the stories and other, occasional giveaways.)
- To enter, use the Comment field on this post below and tell us what is your favorite part of the holiday season. Or whatever, we’re easy.
- You can enter once per day now through Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, when entries close. (You only need to subscribe to the newsletter once, though!)
- U.S. lower 48 states only. (These limits are in place because shipping (and customs internationally) gets prohibitively expensive in particular considering the fragility of this product and how carefully it must be wrapped.)
- Repeate: Entries close on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, around 5 p.m. Eastern — that is, Iwill close the Comments field at that time.
- Prize: There will be one winner. The winner will receive the vintage ornament wreath pictured above, made by the GeorgiaPeachez, mailed to you by Georgia Peachez.
- Pam will choose the winners via the Random Number Generator at random.org. I will check if the ‘winner’ is a newsletter subscriber. I will email the winner. [Tip: Be sure you enter your email address correctly in the email field of the Comment form.] The winner will have five business days to respond. If I do not hear from them, I will choose the next person after who commented. Lather, rinse, repeat. I will post the winner’s first name as soon as all is confirmed. Note, I ‘clean up’ all the comments before choosing. That is, if someone A replies to another’s comment within the same day that someone A entered, I take out A’s comment.
- Terms of use apply.
Many thanks to the fabulous GeorgiaPeachez!

I’m one of those people who listen to Christmas music the minute the radio starts playing it (SiriusXM has two stations on now!) and would wear reindeer antlers every day. I love outside lights, inside lights, the shopping, the planning, the schmaltzy Hallmark-style romantic Christmas movies I make my husband suffer through (I think he secretly enjoys them), and all the classic Christmas specials (Rudolph!) But what I think I love most is doing our photo Christmas cards.
We started doing them when we were first married, because I complained that only families with kids get to do photo cards and as we were kid-free, it wasn’t fair. So along with my desire to be a rebel and the fact that my husband is a photographer, we started doing them. And they became popular with our friends and family (or so they say. :))
Our rules are only the two of us are there, we use the timer on the camera, and one of us has to hit it and run into place (not easy on ice or mud!) We’ve branched out to costumes and fun themes, and cats are included when we do them at home (they do NOT wear costumes. Not that I haven’t tried.) Our themes are usually secret, although I did have to confer with my hair stylist this week for what to do with my hair (thank you, Piper!)
The hands-down favorite picture is a B&W vintage pic by train tracks in the woods. What people don’t know is the backstory to it. I had been exposed to mold at the public rec center where I had been working out. It destroyed my health, and the first 22 (yes, 22!) doctors I saw for it were condescending, useless, and many unprintable things. So the mold was growing and spreading in my body, and I was deathly ill and could not work, get help, anything. So big medical bills, no medical help, both of us feeling powerless in this scary situation. My husband did not want to do any photos or anything Christmas, but I insisted, and we fought big-time over it. I “won”, and my husband took us to the perfect location. We had a blast and the pictures are the all-time best. But what I love most about them is not only how good they are, but how that was when we decided not to be victims of our unfair circumstances, and to stand up and accept, fight for my health and my right to find proper treatment, and to enjoy as much life as we could, including celebrating the holidays, because we do have many things to celebrate. I’m not saying it’s been an easy 17-years, but this Christmas picture was a turning point for us, and I will always treasure it, and that Christmas, as such.

Have gotten some of GP’s small pieces and LOVE them! This would be the perfect addition over the fireplace in my “new” 1959 ranch!

The lights and festive decorations are one great aspect of the holiday season. It is great to drive around – over the top houses are my favorite with tons of lights and decorations.

I love seeing all the lights! Getting dark early is sorta depressing, but all the festival lights make it better!

Love it. Goes with my vintage house.

I love putting up my vintage 7 ft aluminum Christmas tree… branch by SINGLE branch; and placing TWO color wheels on each side; placing it in the living room in the huge corner windows complete with Shiny Brite ornaments! But I hate the painstaking task of taking it down after the holidays, putting each branch in it’s own paper sleeve….

I love how folks are nicer at Christmas and decorating for the holidays….many old passed down pieces. When I moved where I am none of the neighbors decorated and I also put a lot up outside and now many of the neighbors do too! Merry Christmas.
