Update 11/28: Congratulations to winner Ginny, who won when I spun the random! Thanks everyone for playing! Come back next year for Year #9!
[Entries now closed.] It’s the most wonderful time of the year — time again for a chance to win a vintage Christmas ornament created especially for Retro Renovation by the one and only Georgia Peachez. I commissioned this wreath from Suzy for our annual giveaway — our 8th, I went back and counted! Note: I’m taking Thanksgiving week off — this contest will stay at the top of the homepage all week. Have a wonderful week, everyone! Read on for how to enter:

As far as I know, Georgia Peachez was the pioneer of the vintage ornament wreath about 10 years ago, and has honed her craft to perfection. She started a phenom! There’s nothing quite like an original Georgia Peachez creation! Read on for the rules to enter — and note, you can enter here daily now through Monday, Nov. 26.
In the last few years, Suzy has also started creating non-wreath vintage goodies, such as arrangements made in vintage vessels like head vases, retro toys and Christmas ceramics, as well as dioramas made using the vintage ornament boxes. You can see a lot of her adorable creations on GeorgiaPeachez’s Facebook page and in her online shop. Bottom line, I just adore this artist and all she does!
How to enter to win this vintage ornament wreath made by GeorgiaPeachez:
- To win, you must be a subscriber to our newsletter (Yes, this is “what’s in it for the blog” — you can opt out at any time after the contest ends, or continue on for the stories and other, occasional giveaways.)
- To enter, use the Comment field on this post below and tell us what is your favorite part of the holiday season. Or whatever, we’re easy.
- You can enter once per day now through Monday, Nov. 26, 6 p.m., when entries close. (You only need to subscribe to the newsletter once, though!)
- U.S. lower 48 states only. (These limits are in place because shipping and customs get prohibitively expensive in particular considering the fragility of this product and how carefully it must be wrapped.)
- Repeat: Entries close on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, around 6 p.m. Eastern — that is, I will close the Comments field at that time.
- Prize: There will be one winner. The winner will receive the vintage ornament wreath pictured above, made by the GeorgiaPeachez, mailed to you by Georgia Peachez.
- Pam will choose the winners via the Random Number Generator at random.org. I will check if the ‘winner’ is a newsletter subscriber. I will email the winner. [Tip: Be sure you enter your email address correctly in the email field of the Comment form.] The winner will have five business days to respond. If I do not hear from them, I will choose the next person after who commented. Lather, rinse, repeat. I will post the winner’s first name as soon as all is confirmed. Note, I ‘clean up’ all the comments before choosing. That is, if someone A replies to another’s comment within the same day that someone A entered, I take out A’s comment.
- Terms of use apply.
Many thanks to the fabulous GeorgiaPeachez!

? I could never pin point one favorite part of the Christmas season!! To me Christmas is made up of so much magic, memories and new moments! ❤?❤? Magic is the tiny smile that plays at my lips when I see the first little snow flake that falls from the grey skies ❄⛄. It’s the child like hope that even us adults carry in us for a white winter!! It’s the wonder at the beautiful lights, all aglow, in cozy homes down neighborhood streets ? and seeing their Christmas trees lit through their windows and wondering at the stories behind their Christmas trees and wondering if they’re decorated with ornaments dated with memories from children and grandbabies. It’s hearing the beautiful Christmas music ?? over the loud speakers during the hustle and bustle ? as a warm burst of heat hits your body when you enter the store from the cold outside after seeing little puffs of white breath when walking in!! It’s hearing the bells ring ?from the Salvation Army Santa ? and hearing the jingle jangle of spare change entering their little red bucket. It’s decorating my own Christmas tree ? with my family ??? and laughing and even tearing up at the memories behind precious ornaments and decorations. It’s the hot cocoa ☕ my daddy makes spiced with cinnamon that warms our bellies on Christmas Eve. It’s staying awake all night just to hear those magic sleigh bells ring ? up on the house top and waiting around the corner to have a peak ?. It’s the smell of home-made cookies baking in the oven for Santa and his reindeers to be left on a special plate marked just for Santy Claus ❤. It’s watching favorite Christmas movies ?? while snuggled up with the ones you love most ?. It’s going to sleep while smelling pies baking and having sweet dreams of a white Christmas and suger plum faries. It’s preparing the turkey and Christmas fixings with my momma early in the cold Christmas morning, bareoot in the kitchen, while the rest of the world is still asleep. It’s the giddy feeling that soon all homes and families everywhere ? will be waking up on Christmas morning and running down the stairs and halls to see what St. Nick has left under the tree ?. It’s all the wrappings, tape, boxes and bags everywhere from eager hands tearing into gifts ?. It’s the most wonderful time of the year ???!!! I have so many precious memories with my loved ones that I could write a book and fill pages upon pages with funny stories. Like the time we messed up our pecan pie by using egg whites instead of using whole eggs and then seeing that our pie had turned into nothing but pecans with a runny inside ?. Or like the time we bought a new home when I was a child and my momma bought her first ever new stove and accidentally set our turkey ? on fire ??. There was even a time as a child, in the back seat of our Bronco after having a fun filled day during the holiday season in Gatlinburg, that I watched all the Christmas lights ❄?? pass by my window while listening to Elvis ??? sing Blue Christmas in the background and being lulled to sleep at the magic of it all ?. I, too, recall moving once more as a child to a new home ? and having our very first white Christmas ❄⛄ in our first year at our home and everyone was snowed in and no one could drive the roads!! I love Christmas and all holidays too, for the simple fact I get to spend it with the ones I love ? and each year is so special and unique in its own way!! ?❤?❤? Merry Christmas to all!!!!!!
