Yes. This one broke too. Long story. New link posted above! All entries so far count.

I know: According to authentic retro etiquette, it’s way too early to talk Christmas decorations. But if you are thinking about doing fabulous things with vintage Shiny Brite ornaments, you only have so many days left to ornie-hoard and hot-glue. Or… if you know you are never gonna get this crafty yourself — here’s your chance to win our super famous annual giveaway: A vintage Shiny Brite ornament wreath made by the the queen of Shiny Brite crafting, the talented and generous Georgia Peachez. WOOT!

Suzy of Georgia Peachez
Suzy aka Georgia Peachez

Every year, as a gift to readers, I buy a wreath from Suzy aka Georgia Peachez for this giveaway. Thank you, readers, for being THE BEST. I luv you! Suzy always jumps to help out. She gave me a great price (her wreaths now sell for $250! each!) — and quick as I asked, she made this special wreath just for us. She said:

Pam, I made a wreath with my two favorite elements, a knee hugger elf and a reindeer.

Heck to the yeah, knee hugger elf and reindeer! Thank you, Suzy!

I am guessing since I got this link in an email that I am subscribed. I hope! The best part of the holidays for me is seeing family and friends. I also love all the beautiful decorations. It wouldn’t be Holiday time without all those things.

My favorite Part of the Holidays is sitting by the Christmas tree at night. It’s just so pretty and I keep it up for months!

I Love thinking of Christmas past <3 The Christmas's at my grandparents house , All of the relatives that are now gone, the silver tinsel trees..The old time decorations.. Those were the Best memories of my past. I wish I could go back and have it the way it was , just for one more Christmas… it was magical

Our favorite part of the season is decorating the house, which we do the weekend before Thanksgiving. This may be sacrilege to some, but putting up all our decorations reminds us of the spirit of the entire season.

We decorate the main floor with three different trees, including an original silver aluminum tree with rotating base and light. The main tree in the bay window is decorated with more than 400 ornaments collected through our 15 years together. Around the tops of the windows we display our favorite vintage Shiny Brite ornaments, many of which have been passed down three generations.

Other decorations include a mid-century ceramic tree with lights, a Victorian feather tree with some very fragile vintage ornaments, and, just for fun, a Charlie Brown tree.

My favorite part of Christmas is sitting up late at night when the house is quiet & everyone is asleep & looking at the lights. I love the old family ornaments too that may be missing an angel wing or have a skewed halo, but still retain a memory of family & the wonder of Christmas past.

The holidays: I love being with my family most of all. I also love cooking and eating big meals, the anticipation of the little ones, and taking out my treasured Shiny Brites and thinking of the times when I was the little one…

Sugar plum fairies & very vintage Xmas decor dancing in my head. Would be wonderful with my Grandma’s decorations on my tree, wee rain case full of cookie cutters from the 30-40’s. They are beautiful wreaths. I may start to call this page my drool a day place! Love it all, keep up the fantastic work ladies!!!

I grew up during the 50’s and 60’s and am fascinated to see some of the old treasures again being revived. I especially love the contemporary tile combinations….

Thanks for “retro” fitting our lives!

What a beautiful wreath. I love doecorating for Christmas. Am a Santa collector so unpacking and displaying the beautiful Santa figures is a great. We have several trees too, from small to large. Lots of vintage decorations, my favorite. Many from my Mother and my childhood. My Mother was Austrian so have beautiful vintage European decorations and glass tree ornaments. Love Christmas, a time for family and joy.
