I know: According to authentic retro etiquette, it’s way too early to talk Christmas decorations. But if you are thinking about doing fabulous things with vintage Shiny Brite ornaments, you only have so many days left to ornie-hoard and hot-glue. Or… if you know you are never gonna get this crafty yourself — here’s your chance to win our super famous annual giveaway: A vintage Shiny Brite ornament wreath made by the the queen of Shiny Brite crafting, the talented and generous Georgia Peachez. WOOT!
Every year, as a gift to readers, I buy a wreath from Suzy aka Georgia Peachez for this giveaway. Thank you, readers, for being THE BEST. I luv you! Suzy always jumps to help out. She gave me a great price (her wreaths now sell for $250! each!) — and quick as I asked, she made this special wreath just for us. She said:
Pam, I made a wreath with my two favorite elements, a knee hugger elf and a reindeer.
Heck to the yeah, knee hugger elf and reindeer! Thank you, Suzy!

OMG I love these wreaths so much! Unlike a lot of your readership, my fave vintage era is the 30-40s and I was lucky enough to inherit some of my family’s ornaments from the pre-war and post-war years (along with a lot of gorgeous mahogany furniture). My favorite part of the holidays each year is unpacking and trimming my authentic Shiny Brite Pom Pom tree. It’s a 4′ model, and the tinsel is separating from the meal branches, but I adore it and it wouldn’t be Christmas without it.

I love pulling out my ornaments and decorating. Almost all of my ornaments are from someone special or commemorating an event of some kind, so it is always a trip down memory lane!
Happy Holidays!

These days it seems my favorite part of Christmas is my memory of Christmas past and I mean that in the best way possible. My grandmother, my children, my grandsons. Happy Holidays!

These are just so darn cute! My favorite part of the holidays is being with my family. It’s not often that I’m able to see them all, so it’s even more special when we do all end up in the same place. Happy holidays!

My favorite part of Christmas is bringing out old ornaments and reliving memories. My parents are no longer with me and seeing some of the items that used to be in the house when I was a child reminds me to share stories with my own kids. I would treasure a wreath like the one shown above.

Favorite part of Christmas is the morning of Dec 25 and opening up stockings! This was my favorite part growing up and also now with my adult children….we all share in filling stockings and take a good amount of time removing each item—there is always a story to tell about what was purchased and why.
