But if you are thinking about doing fabulous things with vintage Shiny Brite ornaments, you only have so many days left to ornie-hoard and hot-glue. Or… if you know you are never gonna get this crafty yourself — here’s your chance to win our super famous annual giveaway: A vintage Shiny Brite ornament wreath made by the the queen of Shiny Brite crafting, the talented and generous Georgia Peachez. WOOT!
Every year, as a gift to readers, I buy a wreath from Suzy aka Georgia Peachez for this giveaway. Thank you, readers, for being THE BEST. I luv you! Suzy always jumps to help out. She gave me a great price (her wreaths now sell for $250! each!) — and quick as I asked, she made this special wreath just for us. She said:
Pam, I made a wreath with my two favorite elements, a knee hugger elf and a reindeer.
Heck to the yeah, knee hugger elf and reindeer! Thank you, Suzy!

Well, since I did not win the wreath last year, I started a scavenger hunt for the supplies to make my own. It is VERY hard to find vintage Christmas ornaments around here. I have about 11, but scored 3 elfs!

I love sitting in the dark with a cup of hot chocolate watching the twinkling lights of my Christmas tree while listening to my favorite Christmas music.

My favorite part of the holiday season is always when my sons begin to gather here on Christmas Eve, knowing that they will be under my roof from then through Christmas Day. Our tradition has always been that they put the ornaments on the main Christmas tree that night, so there’s lots of hustle and bustle. Nowadays, it’s usually two out of three – so my heart yearns for a Christmas Eve when it’s all three, along with my daughter-in-law and my grandson.

I have been collecting Santas since my 1st one arrived via a Christmas stocking gift in 1933. That was the beginning of a very long love affair with the Holiday season. Now I have lots of them and also small Christmas decorations, that I display with ALL the Santas in a 3 shelf hutch in my living room. Fun to set up and more fun to enjoy when all are in place and the small white lights show them so perfectly.

Hi! My favorite part of Christmas is the music! Starting the day after Thanksgiving that’s all that we listen to through New Years! There are so many great songs that remind me of my childhood….some make me laugh (I want a hippopotamus for Christmas) some make me cry (oh holy night). but, I love them all! Thank you for the great giveaway! Martha 🙂

My favorite part of the holidays is taking out the old family decorations and having the many memories associated with them come rushing back.

Spending time with friends and family that I don’t get to see much during the year. Also, love being able to sit and be cozy next to a fire in my fireplace.

So many favorites about Christmas… But most of all my son’s love of Christmas, yes the toys, but the magical feeling he has about it is just contagious.

The best part of the holidays is the warm loving feeling that takes over my heart. How I become more aware of the needs of others. How giving becomes more joyful than receiving.
