We live in a rustic atomic ranch built in 1965 and love it so much that we can’t imagine living anywhere else. At Christmas time we put up our aluminum Christmas tree with the color wheel and enjoy it while cuddling up next to the fireplace with our two whippets. The Adrian Pearsall chairs with ottomans we found at a local upholstry shop tend to be the most comfortable seats in the house. The wreath that is posted this year brings a special feeling to me because it has one of the elf Christmas tree ornaments from my moms collection that I grew up with. All of these mid century things are what make Christmas even more beautiful!

What I love about Christmas is that it is the time of the year when we think of doing for and giving to others more than ourselves. And the Retro Christmas decorations certainly help make spirits bright!

My favorite part of the holidays is sitting in the living room with no lights except those of the Christmas tree after the stockings are hung, gifts are under the tree, cookies and milk set out for Santa, just enjoying the quiet before the burst of excitement in the morning.

Reminds me of the ornaments my mom and grandma had. I still have a couple of the little elves I am hoping to do something with one day. This would be great. Luv it!

My favorite part of the holiday season is Christmas Eve. All the work is already done, and we just get take-out Chinese, light the fireplace, and enjoy the family time. Our two young daughters get to open one present each (always new jammies), we read “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” and – for the only night of the entire year – the kids can’t WAIT to go to bed. BLISS!

Love this wreath!
My favorite part of the holiday season is decorating. Christmas is really the only time of year that I decorate the house, but the atmosphere just feels different during Christmas time.

I love the holiday because it brings you back to the innocence of childhood. Seeing life as exciting and beautiful is domething we tend to forget.

My favorite part of the holiday season, (after all the shopping, donating to the Christmas Angel fund, and baking), is hanging the vintage ornaments from my childhood around my bubble lights on the Christmas tree and listening to Nat King Cole sing “A Christmas Song” while enjoying only the lights on from the Christmas tree in the room. All the while, thinking about Christmases past and of those I have loved and lost.

My absolute favorite part of Christmas is decorating my tree – from the vintage ornaments that were my mother’s to the ones I have found over the years. My tree is decorated with only vintage and retro ornaments from the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s. Such wonderful memories in each one.

My favorite part of the holiday season is seeing how exited my students get with season themed projects and the decorations around the classroom. It truly is magical for them. I also love decorating my midcentury Florida apartment for the holidays!
