Update: Congratulation to Richard, the happy winner of this wreath giveaway. His number came up in the random. Thanks, everyone, for playing, and super thanks to Suzy for helping with this giveaway this year! ENTRIES NOW CLOSED.

Howdy, hudee — it’s time for our most awaited yearly giveaway on the blog: One lucky winner will win this gorgeous vintage ornament wreath, handcrafted by the Queen o’ Ornament Wreaths, the original trendsetter, the talented Suzy a.k.a. GeorgiaPeachez herself! These wreaths sell out fast in GeorgiaPeachez’s shop, so this is your chance to get one of these coveted creations for yourself. Note: What with Pam’s trip to Pittsburgh and Thanksgiving upon us, we will be taking next week off. Happy happy, everyone — see you on the 30th.

As far as we know, Georgia Peachez was the pioneer of the vintage ornament wreath, and has honed her craft to perfection. There’s nothing quite like an original GeorgiaPeachez creation!

In the last few years, she’s even started creating non-wreath vintage goodies, such as arrangements made in vintage vessels like head vases, retro toys and Christmas ceramics, as well as dioramas made using the vintage ornament boxes. You can see a lot of her adorable creations on GeorgiaPeachez’s Facebook page. Bottom line, we just luv this lady!

The best part of the holiday season is spending time with my family who I don’t get to see often.

I look forward to seeing what you are producing every year. For 18 years, I had never been able to celebrate holidays because of my religious upbringing. When I turned 18 I decided, I went off and did my own thing, and celebrating Christmas is one of them. I really wanted to have the Christmas spirit. I look forward every year to the sounds, sites, the smells and the bliss that goes along with Christmas. I’m always the one in the office who puts stockings on peoples desks, fill them, I send out Christmas cards, I seal them with wax….I beg my friends to go to the Charles Dickens Fair… If I can achieve it, I’m going to check off something on my bucket list next year, and that is going to the Christmas Market in Nurmemberg Germany. One of the most famous ones around. I’ve always wanted to get one of your wreaths, and one day I will. I look at your site all year long to see what you are making. I wish I had the time and talent….but for now, I find other people who have the talent….and get inspired by them. Christmas is about giving, being with family, and holiday cheer. If I could live in Christmas land, I would…:)

Love seeing again all the old and treasured decorations, especially our mother’s 1950’s red, Gurley Santa candles and all the Gurley choir candles.

I love everything Christmas! Recent years have been tough with untimely and unexpected loss and the tradition I have loved so much since childhood has started to change. For the first time last year I let my kids decorate the tree with old ornaments that were my grandparents. This made me happier than any of my OCD color coordinated trees of years past. This year it is full on Christmas explosion. Every nook and cranny will be filled with vintage love. It may just stay up all year.

My favorite part of Christmastime is the anticipation from the children.

I love the anticipation of Christmas eve. My mom comes to stay over and we watch Christmas movies by our wood stove. I love hanging out with my son who gets so excited about the morning and my husband usually makes a meal made of appetizers.

My favorite part of the holidays is reminiscing as we get out the decorations and decorate the Christmas tree!

A good bit of my Autumn is spent volunteering in a variety of ways. By Thanksgiving I am more ‘inwardly’ focused. I love making things for family, friends and ‘strangers’. Giving and doing is the most fun of all!
