Update: Congratulation to Richard, the happy winner of this wreath giveaway. His number came up in the random. Thanks, everyone, for playing, and super thanks to Suzy for helping with this giveaway this year! ENTRIES NOW CLOSED.

Howdy, hudee — it’s time for our most awaited yearly giveaway on the blog: One lucky winner will win this gorgeous vintage ornament wreath, handcrafted by the Queen o’ Ornament Wreaths, the original trendsetter, the talented Suzy a.k.a. GeorgiaPeachez herself! These wreaths sell out fast in GeorgiaPeachez’s shop, so this is your chance to get one of these coveted creations for yourself. Note: What with Pam’s trip to Pittsburgh and Thanksgiving upon us, we will be taking next week off. Happy happy, everyone — see you on the 30th.

As far as we know, Georgia Peachez was the pioneer of the vintage ornament wreath, and has honed her craft to perfection. There’s nothing quite like an original GeorgiaPeachez creation!

In the last few years, she’s even started creating non-wreath vintage goodies, such as arrangements made in vintage vessels like head vases, retro toys and Christmas ceramics, as well as dioramas made using the vintage ornament boxes. You can see a lot of her adorable creations on GeorgiaPeachez’s Facebook page. Bottom line, we just luv this lady!

My favorite things about the holidays are writing my Christmas cards, all by hand, baking, decorating and then enjoying the decorated house for a few weeks!

My favorite part is putting the decorations on the tree and remembering the special people who gave each of them to me, which child made them during the years, hanging a few ornaments from my Dad’s childhood tree, lots of love and good memories!

I love looking at my three Christmas villages, one is a copy of Bedford Falls , a farm and a fishing village. I use lots of lights, snow and trees. It doesn’t feel like the holidays until I get the villages displayed.

With all that there is to love about Christmas, there are two traditions that stand out…First, I love the sight and sound of the the Salvation Army Bell Ringers! -not to put something in their kettles would be very bad karma indeed… To me, they are the true meaning of Christmas! The second thing is hearing Bing Crosby’s “I’ll be Home for Christmas” this song, along with “White Christmas” , really brings the “Spirit of Christmas Past” part of the present =D

My favorite part of the Christmas season is the nostalgia, getting out the decorations I’ve used year after year. So many memories are attached to the ornaments and the nice things passed down by the family. Recently finding older Christmas items in antique shops to incorporate with my décor. It’s all about good times and that wonderful feeling we all should have during the holidays.
