Howdy, hudee — it’s time for our most awaited yearly giveaway on the blog: One lucky winner will win this gorgeous vintage ornament wreath, handcrafted by the Queen o’ Ornament Wreaths, the original trendsetter, the talented Suzy a.k.a. GeorgiaPeachez herself! These wreaths sell out fast in GeorgiaPeachez’s shop, so this is your chance to get one of these coveted creations for yourself. Note: What with Pam’s trip to Pittsburgh and Thanksgiving upon us, we will be taking next week off. Happy happy, everyone — see you on the 30th.
As far as we know, Georgia Peachez was the pioneer of the vintage ornament wreath, and has honed her craft to perfection. There’s nothing quite like an original GeorgiaPeachez creation!
In the last few years, she’s even started creating non-wreath vintage goodies, such as arrangements made in vintage vessels like head vases, retro toys and Christmas ceramics, as well as dioramas made using the vintage ornament boxes. You can see a lot of her adorable creations on GeorgiaPeachez’s Facebook page. Bottom line, we just luv this lady!

I Love when all of my local antique shops start filling their display cases with vintage Christmas stuff……… Then its game on, and I’m off to start looking for decorations that remind me of past Christmases at grandmas!

I love the food!!! Although for us in New Orleans, the “holiday” season does not end at New Years but instead rolls right on through until Ash Wednesday!

The chance to spend time with my children and grandchildren at Christmas since everyone lives miles apart now. Love the excitement in the kids eyes and how proud they are to show me the
decorations they made for the tree.

Hmmm…. What don’t I love? I love the crowds on Black Friday; I love being at home with my family; I love the lights on the houses and the trees in the windows; I love the goodies and yummy cocktails. So much to love!

My favorite part of the holiday season? Enjoying new and old traditions with the kids…. This year I’m trying to recreate my grandparents’ white tree with blue lights circa 1975? This wreath would complete the old/new tradition!

My best holiday memories are from when I was little and we were a poor family trying to make ends meet. My family only had old hand me down ornaments, which now are all gone. The ornaments in this wreath are just like what we hung on our family tree.
