Update: Congratulation to Richard, the happy winner of this wreath giveaway. His number came up in the random. Thanks, everyone, for playing, and super thanks to Suzy for helping with this giveaway this year! ENTRIES NOW CLOSED.
Howdy, hudee — it’s time for our most awaited yearly giveaway on the blog: One lucky winner will win this gorgeous vintage ornament wreath, handcrafted by the Queen o’ Ornament Wreaths, the original trendsetter, the talented Suzy a.k.a. GeorgiaPeachez herself! These wreaths sell out fast in GeorgiaPeachez’s shop, so this is your chance to get one of these coveted creations for yourself. Note: What with Pam’s trip to Pittsburgh and Thanksgiving upon us, we will be taking next week off. Happy happy, everyone — see you on the 30th.
As far as we know, Georgia Peachez was the pioneer of the vintage ornament wreath, and has honed her craft to perfection. There’s nothing quite like an original GeorgiaPeachez creation!
In the last few years, she’s even started creating non-wreath vintage goodies, such as arrangements made in vintage vessels like head vases, retro toys and Christmas ceramics, as well as dioramas made using the vintage ornament boxes. You can see a lot of her adorable creations on GeorgiaPeachez’s Facebook page. Bottom line, we just luv this lady!

The smell of fir trees in Christmas tree lots.

I love when my favorite chocolate-covered gingerbread cookies are stocked at Trader Joe’s (hint: now!) and I can savor one every wintry morning with coffee.
I’d love to win the wreath because although I’m an estate sale habitué, I never seem to get anywhere in time to find vintage ornaments. *sigh* No one should be sad during the holidays….

My most prized possession is the dozen vintage 1960’s ornaments that my parents received when they were first married. They originally had about 4 dozen – round ones and the little ones with the insets. Over the years, kids and kitties took their toll, so the final 12 are safe and secure in a tall glass vase on my dining room table. I display then year-round, and they always make me smile. Suzy’s wreaths have the exact same effect! I love GeorgiaPeachez!!
PS – my fondest wish is to display those family ornaments on a vintage silver tree!!

Being with family is the best. We just like to be together and (as we say in our family) “breathe the same air.”

Listening to Christmas music and unwrapping the Christmas ornaments, both handmade and from my parents tree in the ’50s and letting the memories flow.

I just love having my four adult children back home under one roof! I love that even though they’ve all moved away to big cities for work, Christmas at home together is important to them!

each time I unwrap a vintage ornament it brings me back to Christmases gone by and loved ones who made my childhood so wonderful

I love sorting through all the ornaments in my boxes from current to several generations past, homemade and store-bought. The ornament propelled by the heat of the light beneath it is the one I’m looking forward to most this year.

My favorite part of Christmas is bringing out my (now adult) children’s ornaments and decorations that they’ve made thruout their elementary school years. I can’t wait to start adding my granddaughter’s ornaments to continue the tradition!!
