Howdy, hudee — it’s time for our most awaited yearly giveaway on the blog: One lucky winner will win this gorgeous vintage ornament wreath, handcrafted by the Queen o’ Ornament Wreaths, the original trendsetter, the talented Suzy a.k.a. GeorgiaPeachez herself! These wreaths sell out fast in GeorgiaPeachez’s shop, so this is your chance to get one of these coveted creations for yourself. Note: What with Pam’s trip to Pittsburgh and Thanksgiving upon us, we will be taking next week off. Happy happy, everyone — see you on the 30th.
As far as we know, Georgia Peachez was the pioneer of the vintage ornament wreath, and has honed her craft to perfection. There’s nothing quite like an original GeorgiaPeachez creation!
In the last few years, she’s even started creating non-wreath vintage goodies, such as arrangements made in vintage vessels like head vases, retro toys and Christmas ceramics, as well as dioramas made using the vintage ornament boxes. You can see a lot of her adorable creations on GeorgiaPeachez’s Facebook page. Bottom line, we just luv this lady!

I love seeing luminarias and farolitos lighting walkways and buildings, eating posole and biscochitos, and dancing/singing along to Sleigh Ride.

I really love the retro Christmas decorating. Just today I re-painted one of my blow-mold Santa’s in preparation for fitting him into his new chimney that I am building for him. I also made a Who-Ville style tree the other day from two tomato cages, some vintage looking tinsel and a large ornament from the dollar store (I’ll make a similar one so they can flank my front door this year). Using your directions I made a Georgia Peachz style wreath two years ago which everyone loves. Thanks for the great website and all the inspirations. Merry Christmas!!!

I just love getting out my vintage house ornaments! I have new bell jars that I will fill with these, and create some tiny snow scenes!

There are so many great things about the holiday season; but I most love the festive feeling that is reminiscent of the anticipation of Santa when I was a little kid. It stays with me from the first sighting of outdoor lights and hearing Christmas music; in November, through New Years day when the anticipation of a new years takes the place of that holiday glow.
