woddities: wonderful oddities
With millions of homes being built in America after World War II, inventors were working overtime on new, modern home conveniences. Some of these design became ubiquitous, while others... I call these corporate hiccups "wonderful oddities", or "woddities." Over the years readers we have spotted plenty. My personal favorites include the 1963 Electro-Sink Center (a kitchen faucet married a food processor) and the 1960 GE Partio Cart (barbecue + oven + percolator plug + don't forget the fringed patio umbrella).
