ENTRIES NOW CLOSED. Update: Congratulations to Lynne, winner of this year’s Georgia Peachez wreath. It turns out, we’ve featured Lynne and her knotty-pine + pink bathroom in this story!  Thanks, everyone, for playing — we’ll do it again next year! P.S. My friend Danielle and I made our own wreaths last night — they turned out FABULOUS! Story to come.

I know: According to authentic retro etiquette, it’s way too early to talk Christmas decorations. But if you are thinking about doing fabulous things with vintage Shiny Brite ornaments, you only have so many days left to ornie-hoard and hot-glue. Or… if you know you are never gonna get this crafty yourself — here’s your chance to win our super famous annual giveaway: A vintage Shiny Brite ornament wreath made by the the queen of Shiny Brite crafting, the talented and generous Georgia Peachez. WOOT!

Suzy of Georgia Peachez
Suzy aka Georgia Peachez

Every year, as a gift to readers, I buy a wreath from Suzy aka Georgia Peachez for this giveaway. Thank you, readers, for being THE BEST. I luv you! Suzy always jumps to help out. She gave me a great price (her wreaths now sell for $250! each!) — and quick as I asked, she made this special wreath just for us. She said:

Pam, I made a wreath with my two favorite elements, a knee hugger elf and a reindeer.

Heck to the yeah, knee hugger elf and reindeer! Thank you, Suzy!

My favorite part of the holiday season is getting to drag all of my kitschy decorations out of storage. There’s something a little more magical about the vintage stuff. Nothing beats sitting in my living room with all the lights off– except the Christmas stuff! What a feeling!

I love decorating the house. There are a lot of other things I love also, but decorating the house gives me a small, singular joy and kicks off the holiday season.

My favorite part of Christmas is the Christmas Eve service at my church….it’s pretty much the only thing throughout the entire holiday season that is just for me, my husband and two kids. We have to share everything else with extended family and lots of travel, so our home church candlelight service is very special to us!

My favorite part about the holiday season is decorating my house! I also love the holiday smells and the cool air that we rarely get to enjoy here in AZ 🙂

    I love holiday nights,
when it’s a little quiet and the lights are twinkling.

These wreaths remind me of Christmas at my grandmother’s, who has since passed. She had the quintessential fifties kitchen we would always gather in together while she cooked.

My favorite part of Christmas is being with my family, making gingerbread cookies, snow (hopefully) and celebrating what Christmas really means. We moved to a retro 1962 house with original everything, and this wreath would fit in just right:0)

My favorite part of the holidays is church and family. That wreath with the glass ornaments and knee hugger elf reminds me of my childhood. We always had those on our tree. Currently, my favorite part of decorating my little 50’s ranch is blending my googie/retro style with my beach bum style. So, I have an aluminum tree with color wheel and lava lamps, and a blow mold light up Santa on the porch alongside a light up flamingo.

    Reto kitsch for the win!

My favorite part of Christmas is pulling out my collection of old time radio shows, hopping in the car, and driving around looking at Christmas decorations while listening to the holiday adventures of Jack Benny, Fibber McGee and Molly, and others! Nostalgia at Christmas is the best!

My favorite part of the holiday is decorating and spending time with my family! Love those wreaths!!
