ENTRIES NOW CLOSED. Update: Congratulations to Lynne, winner of this year’s Georgia Peachez wreath. It turns out, we’ve featured Lynne and her knotty-pine + pink bathroom in this story!  Thanks, everyone, for playing — we’ll do it again next year! P.S. My friend Danielle and I made our own wreaths last night — they turned out FABULOUS! Story to come.

I know: According to authentic retro etiquette, it’s way too early to talk Christmas decorations. But if you are thinking about doing fabulous things with vintage Shiny Brite ornaments, you only have so many days left to ornie-hoard and hot-glue. Or… if you know you are never gonna get this crafty yourself — here’s your chance to win our super famous annual giveaway: A vintage Shiny Brite ornament wreath made by the the queen of Shiny Brite crafting, the talented and generous Georgia Peachez. WOOT!

Suzy of Georgia Peachez
Suzy aka Georgia Peachez

Every year, as a gift to readers, I buy a wreath from Suzy aka Georgia Peachez for this giveaway. Thank you, readers, for being THE BEST. I luv you! Suzy always jumps to help out. She gave me a great price (her wreaths now sell for $250! each!) — and quick as I asked, she made this special wreath just for us. She said:

Pam, I made a wreath with my two favorite elements, a knee hugger elf and a reindeer.

Heck to the yeah, knee hugger elf and reindeer! Thank you, Suzy!

The wreaths are beautiful and would look wonderful with my Evergleam Christmas tree. I love Christmas time – church, family, friends, decorating, cooking, presents!! Thank you for making this one special for someone and for the great blog!!

My favorite part of the holidays is getting out all of the family Christmas ornaments and all of the happy memories of Christmas’ past that go with them.

My favorite part about Xmas is bringing out my vintage pink aluminum tree and decorating it with ornaments that have been given to me from all my friends. It always brings a smile when people see it as pink is a happy color. It also usually inspires gifts of pink flamingo ornaments ! But those are saved for the flamingo tree!

Family, friends and the time we spend together.
The trees, the lights and the food

The lights, the colors, the decorations, the excitement, the presents, the love, the wonder . . . . I love it all. Christmas is the happiest time of the year. I put up 4-5 trees in my house, one in every room, each decorated with a different theme. And one of those trees is a mid-century modern silver tree with satin balls. I love Christmas!

In addition to enjoying decorating our house inside and out, my favorite part about the holiday season is driving around with my family looking at holiday lights. There is a great holiday light show at Shelby Farms called Starry Nights we love to drive through as well as seeing how everyone has decorated their houses. The holiday season is never long enough for me!

I love this Retro Renovation! I have my Aunt’s original 1960’s aluminum Christmas tree and I can’t wait to put it up in my 1951 Streamline Moderne home this year. I even found a color wheel for it.
