Howdy, hudee — it’s time for our most awaited yearly giveaway on the blog: One lucky winner will win this gorgeous vintage ornament wreath, handcrafted by the Queen o’ Ornament Wreaths, the original trendsetter, the talented Suzy a.k.a. GeorgiaPeachez herself! These wreaths sell out fast in GeorgiaPeachez’s shop, so this is your chance to get one of these coveted creations for yourself. Note: What with Pam’s trip to Pittsburgh and Thanksgiving upon us, we will be taking next week off. Happy happy, everyone — see you on the 30th.
As far as we know, Georgia Peachez was the pioneer of the vintage ornament wreath, and has honed her craft to perfection. There’s nothing quite like an original GeorgiaPeachez creation!
In the last few years, she’s even started creating non-wreath vintage goodies, such as arrangements made in vintage vessels like head vases, retro toys and Christmas ceramics, as well as dioramas made using the vintage ornament boxes. You can see a lot of her adorable creations on GeorgiaPeachez’s Facebook page. Bottom line, we just luv this lady!

I guess I love the warm feelings of Christmas most, time with family, remembering our Savior’s birth, celebrating with food and relaxing.

My favorite thing about the Holidays is entertaining. I love decorating the house for friends and family, and unwrapping all the old ornaments and mugs that hold such good memories

A few weeks before Christmas my family comes over and we do Christmas crafts. We made wreaths last year, and this year we’re decorating Putz houses using patterns found here at Retro Renovation.

Family : )
Our family still gathers at Christmas in the mid-century modern home our Daddy built in 1954. He’s been gone 2 years now, but Mommy is still living in the same home all these years.
We bring Christmas to her now… decorating her tree with original ornaments dating back to the fifties (like some on your wreath), and cooking and baking her traditional Christmas dishes.
We are so thankful for these memories to share with those we love.
Nate W says
We are counting down the days to breaking out the tree!
Jocelyn says
Now that I have a house (a classic mid century style built in 1960) and a daughter my favorite part of the holiday season is creating memories for her – building a gingerbread house, putting decorations up in every room, making ornaments and paper chains for the tree. I work a lot so this time spent together is important (and fun!) for our family!
Sharon Mullican says
I love it all! My vintage ornaments–saved down the years– and the new additions on the tree(s), the lights on my 1955 turquoise-painted house, bows on my lawn flamingos, cookies and fruitcake baking. Christmas is wonderful all around.
