GeorgiaPeachez herself! These wreaths sell out fast in GeorgiaPeachez’s shop, so this is your chance to get one of these coveted creations for yourself. Note: What with Pam’s trip to Pittsburgh and Thanksgiving upon us, we will be taking next week off. Happy happy, everyone — see you on the 30th.
As far as we know, Georgia Peachez was the pioneer of the vintage ornament wreath, and has honed her craft to perfection. There’s nothing quite like an original GeorgiaPeachez creation!
In the last few years, she’s even started creating non-wreath vintage goodies, such as arrangements made in vintage vessels like head vases, retro toys and Christmas ceramics, as well as dioramas made using the vintage ornament boxes. You can see a lot of her adorable creations on GeorgiaPeachez’s Facebook page. Bottom line, we just luv this lady!

One of my new favorite part of the holidays is the boys coming home from college and watching our English Bulldog, Wallace, get so excited when he sees them.

My fav. part of the holidays are the family traditions and memories. Using my vintage sunbeam mixer passed down from my grandmother, using cookie sheets passed down, and all the memories associated with our ornaments.

My husband and I always enjoy watching all the old Christmas movies on laser disks that we started collecting in California in the 70s…leading up to Christmas Eve, when we watch “The Bishop’s Wife.”

So many favorites to choose from! But Christmas now? As an adult with my own house to gussy up, I have seven trees. At present. They’re either pink or white with plenty of improvised ornaments (vintage tiaras) and lots of color. There may be more in the future, but I just love to do trees! And having the neighborhood kids in, you’ve never seen a little kid just lose it until they’re in my house on the 21st or so. You can see their little heads explode. It’s great!
When I was a child department stores had huge decorated fantasyland to go through to see Santa. My favorite was an enchanted forest, and I thought I’d have my own. It’s gorgeous!

I love thinking back on Christmas in a much simpler time … when the focus was on faith, friendship and family. Homemade cookies … hot chocolate … new ice skates under the tree, which was decorated in family heirloom ornaments. I cherish those ornaments, many of which are more than 60 years old, and the memories of when they were added to the collection over time. My daughters now share my love of vintage Christmas decor.
I am in the process of purchasing a future “retirement” home … a small Post-WWII ranch … and this wreath would make a remarkable addition to mark our new home!

I am over the top when it is time to go to the Tree Farm, cut the Balsam and ready it for trimming. My ornaments are ones handed down in my family, and have such meaning to me—Times past with my Mom and Dad and also with my grown children and now grandchildren. Seeing it complete and then turning on the lights makes all the work seem like a pleasure.
